I’ve gone a couple of times to McRae Dental and I always leave with a great experience. The staff is incredibly welcoming. You can really see how united and collaborative their team is. They put a ton of effort into making every visit comfortable and exceptional. Highly recommend

Dr. McRae is the best in the Valley, I can say that confidently. I got a tooth removed with a PRF, literally zero pain, during and after the procedure. The staff has been really friendly. I have more dental work coming up, and I will not be changing dentists, they have won my trust.

Only my second time here but I hope to continue with McRae dental for years to come. Very friendly staff and very thorough hygienist. They seem to allow about an hour for a 45 minute procedure so you never feel rushed. Update: it’s been over two years and I am still pleased that I found McRae. For the first time I actually look forward to seeing the dentist Update: It’s been a few more years and I’m still happy with McRae Dental!

About Mcrae Dental
McRae Dental is a family dental practice at 1067 South Wells Street in Meridian, Idaho, offering care for patients of all ages. For people with missing teeth, the office provides dental implant treatment from placement through restoration, along with an All-On-4 Teeth In A Day option for replacing a full arch of teeth. The practice takes a whole-health approach, and an in-house nurse practitioner performs presurgical exams because the team believes every aspect of a patient's health matters, not just the condition of their teeth.
Beyond implants, McRae Dental offers general and family dentistry, cosmetic services such as porcelain veneers, dental crowns and bridges, dental bonding, Invisalign, and teeth whitening, plus sedation dentistry, root canals, extractions and wisdom teeth, metal-free fillings, treatment for jaw joint disorders, and care for sleep disordered breathing. Dr. McRae founded the practice in part because of his own uncomfortable childhood dental visits, and the team places a strong emphasis on making every visit relaxed and comfortable. Meet the Doctors
The practice's clinical team includes Dr. Lon McRae, Dr. Kierstin Shahtout, DDS, and Dr. J. Colt Sweeten, DDS. Dr. McRae graduated from Oregon Health Sciences University School of Dentistry in 1996 and completed an advanced program at the Pacific Aesthetic Continuum in 2000. He has taught at dental schools and teaching institutions on subjects including airway, cosmetic, and implant dentistry, and is a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the American Dental Association, and the Crown Council. Dr. Shahtout earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry and completed a General Practice Residency at the VA Salt Lake City Health Care System, with advanced training in general dentistry, oral surgery, implant dentistry, intravenous sedation, and complex treatment planning. Dr. Sweeten, an Idaho native, attended dental school at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska, and pursues extensive continuing education each year.
