My husband needed a tooth extracted and prepared for an implant. Dr. Vuu was amazing. He's extremely knowledgeable and has great bedside manner. He's also fast! It only took an hour and everything went smoothly. The office staff is also efficient and friendly. Highly recommend.

Dr. Karen Wuertz has helped my sleep apnea issues with a custom night mouth guard. I’ve been monitoring my sleep patterns with a CMSA finger ring monitor and my deoxygenated blood level was in the moderate apnea category. I was preparing to purchase a c pap machine, but I’m getting the same or better results from the mouth guard. I’m extremely happy with the results and the care from both Dr O’Shell and Dr Wuertz! Thank you to you both and your kind professional staff. All the best - Christian

I had my top two wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Vuu four days ago and I'm very happy with my decision to use Memorial Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. From the consultation to the surgery itself, Dr. Vuu and his staff were very professional. The surgery itself was great too. I was in and out in under an hour. I've also had no swelling or any pain since the surgery. Perhaps my two top wisdom teeth were particularly easy to remove for some reason or perhaps Dr. Vuu is very skilled (probably a combination of both). Regardless, my recovery has extremely easy.

Had the best experience with Dr Oshell! I came into the office nervous at first and both he and his assistant Pam put me at ease. Painless and easiest procedure I’ve ever had! Thank you Dr Oshell Pam and Jackie for the best care, your kindness and professionalism! Hands down the best oral surgery team!

Memorial Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery's Houston office, located on San Felipe Street near the Galleria and Memorial areas, is one of three locations run by this Houston area oral surgery practice. The office offers a full range of oral surgery services, including dental implants, wisdom teeth removal, complex and emergency tooth extractions, bone grafting, and treatment for facial trauma and oral pathology. Patients considering dental implants can expect options ranging from single tooth replacement to full arch solutions such as All on 4 and implant supported dentures, sometimes called All on X, which use as few as four implants per jaw to support a complete set of replacement teeth.
The Houston location is staffed by board certified oral surgeons, part of a team the practice describes as five board certified oral surgery experts across its three offices. For patients weighing full arch or same day implant treatment, having a board certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon involved in planning and placing the implants can be an important factor in a smooth, predictable outcome. The practice serves patients throughout central Houston as well as those traveling in from surrounding communities, and the San Felipe office is easily reached from major highways in the area.
The Houston, San Felipe office is staffed by Dr. Michael V. O'Shell, DDS, Dr. Thai Vuu, DDS, MD, and Dr. Jonathan Shum, DDS, MD, all board certified oral and maxillofacial surgeons according to the practice's own website. The practice's Cypress office is led by Dr. Chris Dauterive and its Katy office by Dr. Michael Huang. All surgeons are described by the practice as diplomates of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
