I just want to say that my daughter has been on a long journey to have jaw surgery. The original doctor she had seen for more than a year no longer wanted to move forward with her surgery, so I had to find another doctor. When I found this office, I was a little nervous because I felt we had to start all over again. The staff at Mercer Island Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery were so welcoming and reassuring and instantly made us feel that we had made an excellent choice. Dr. Chang explained the surgery in detail and answered all the questions and concerns we had. On the day of the surgery, he came and greeted us, asked if we had any questions or concerns, and again put us at ease. It’s been two months, and my daughter has healed perfectly. I am so glad I found Dr. Chang, and the one-hour drive to and from appointments from Puyallup was well worth it! Thank you, Mercer Island Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, for the wonderful service.

100% Highly recommend. Due to a very traumatic wisdom teeth extraction around 25 years ago I have been severely afraid of dentists. It kept me from seeing a dentist. As those years passed by my teeth had become a serious problem. Then after being referred to Mercer Island Oral Surgery my opinion about dentist have made a complete turn around. Dr.Jung and his staff was nothing less than Amazing. From the first phone call to having the remaing teeth I had extracted yesterday my anxiety was calmed. The hospital staff very kind and caring. Dr. Jung's caring, understanding and extremely professional mannerisms made this a tolerable, less frightening and good experience. I was expecting horrible discomfort from procedure this morning but amazingly even with stitches I feel great! So very excited for my new smile. Thank you so very, very much Dr. Jung and staff!

I can’t recommend Mercer Island Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery enough. Scheduling was fast, friendly and easy. The front desk woman was very friendly. There was no waiting once I arrived. I had potential complications and Dr. Streelman was thorough, thoughtful and addressed every aspect and detail. I was at ease, relieved and felt safe immediately. He was also very personable and patient. And he is a tooth whisperer, he had my tooth out in about 15 seconds and with very little bleeding. Felix, his assistant was also professional, thoughtful, personable and patient. It’s the day after and I’ve only had the slightest discomfort. The office called later yesterday to make sure things were going well. While I hope to not need more extractions, they are amazing and I’d go back in a heartbeat.

01/05/2026 At a previous dentist I had a very challenging root-tip case where fused root tips had been bone-grafted over by a previous dentist... not a simple situation at all. Dr. Streelman's genius literally handled it with complete ease and confidence. The procedure was fast, controlled, and remarkably calm, and he was able to remove the fused root tips smoothly and without pain. What impressed me even more was how well it healed afterward. The area recovered far better than I ever expected for something that complex. His precision, experience, and steady hands truly make a difference, especially in cases that would be stressful or difficult elsewhere. You can be 100% confident that he has done this so many times and knows exactly what he’s doing. There was no hesitation, no struggle, just skill and clarity from start to finish. I’m incredibly grateful to have Dr. Streelman not only as my doctor, but as someone who treats patients with real humanity and care. 1/29 I just want to add something that truly stood out to me and felt important to say. Dr. Streelman has God-guided hands. I mean that sincerely. He barely had to touch each tooth and it came out in seconds with ease, precision, and absolutely no force, he just touches and heals — no joke. There was no struggle, no pain, no trauma. It was like his hands knew exactly what to do before anything even happened. You can feel that he has a big heart and that he genuinely helps people who are in need. There’s a calm, Godly spirit living in him that shows through his work, his patience, and the way he eases fear and pain without ever rushing or dismissing you. He doesn’t just treat teeth — he treats people with compassion and care. Doctors and people like this are rare. His skill, kindness, and calling are evident the moment you meet him, and I truly believe his hands are guided by God in the work he does. I’m beyond grateful for him and for the peace he brought into each and every experience. I'm so thankful for him and his entire staff also! She has such an upbeat, positive attitude and is incredibly professional and patient. Both receptionists are thorough, organized, and genuinely kind — they take the time to explain scheduling clearly, work with you even when traffic or timing is an issue, and never make you feel rushed or like a burden. That kind of patience and care means more than people realize. And Dulce, Dr. Streelman’s assistant, deserves special recognition. She is extremely thorough and has such gentle, confident hands. She took real initiative to step in, evaluate, and truly listen to my concerns - not just hear them, but understand them. She is talented, smart, calm, and confident, and she communicates everything clearly and thoughtfully to the doctor. You can tell she takes pride in her work and cares deeply about doing things right. This entire team works together with such professionalism, compassion, and heart. From the front desk to the surgical chair, you feel supported, respected, and genuinely cared for. Offices like this are rare, and I’m incredibly grateful for every single person there. Plus they got the best technology in the world and the CORRECT x-rays and CT machine that spins around the head and plays a cute tune that lifts my spirits and it includes exceptional quality and care! 😎 They also have an emergency line they give you tons of extra gauze and even an irrigation tool and post-op typed instructions extremely detailed and helpful and they also communicate very effectively and quickly over phone and email about any questions after your visit!
