I recently had two teeth extracted at Mid-State Oral Surgery, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the care I received.
Let’s be honest—having teeth extracted is not something anyone looks forward to. However, the doctor and staff made a difficult situation much easier than I expected. From the moment I arrived, everyone was friendly, professional, and genuinely caring. They took the time to explain the procedure, answer my questions, and make sure I was comfortable throughout the process.
Most importantly, I felt like I was in excellent hands. Their confidence, skill, and compassion helped put me at ease and reduced much of the anxiety that comes with oral surgery.
If I ever need oral surgery again, I would return to Mid-State Oral Surgery without hesitation. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for outstanding care and a team that truly puts patients first.

I had my wisdom teeth removed on June 2, 2026, at Midstate Oral Surgery in Smyrna, TN. I came all the way from Murfreesboro for the procedure, and I wanted to take a moment to share my experience.
From the front desk staff to the medical team, everyone was very friendly, polite, and welcoming. They made me feel comfortable from the moment I arrived.
I especially want to thank Dr. Cook. He was amazing. Before the procedure, he took the time to explain everything to me, including the benefits, risks, and what I could expect in the future regarding my wisdom teeth. He answered all of my questions and made sure I understood everything. It felt like he genuinely cared about his patients.
The procedure itself went very smoothly, and I felt well taken care of the entire time. Dr. Cook was professional, knowledgeable, and very friendly, which helped me feel relaxed and confident.
I am originally from India, and in our culture we have great respect for doctors because they help people through difficult times. Dr. Cook is the kind of doctor who deserves that respect. I am truly grateful for the care he provided.
Thank you to Dr. Cook and the entire team at Midstate Oral Surgery. I am 110% satisfied with my experience and would highly recommend them to anyone needing oral surgery treatment.

I had an extraction here yesterday with Dr. Cook. The staff here are fantastic, the dental assistant Reese was very informative and kind, the nurses (I forgot their names due to the anesthesia) were absolutely wonderful, and Dr. Cook was great! I have terrible veins and the nurse still stuck me in one try! It was a great experience, and I’m very happy with the results. I’ll definitely be back for my future oral surgery needs, as I’ll be getting a wisdom tooth out soon probably. I can’t recommended Midstate Oral Surgery in Smyrna enough!

Dr. Duckworth HANDS down one of the best oral surgeon EVER. I will never see another oral surgeon again. He is very respectful, supportive and honest. I am in recovery and helped through what that would look like afterwards for pain relief. He made my entire experience so much more comfortable, as I was completely nervous walking in there. If you need any work done, i HIGHLY recommend going to see him. I also wanna praise his nurses as well, that also made me feel comfortable and relaxed while getting ready for the procedure. Thank you guys so much. If I EVER need work done again, it’ll definitely be with you guys. 🦷🩵

I was referred here by my dentist to get my wisdom teeth removed. The doctors were so sweet! They walked me through the process of general anesthesia, and they took good care of me while prepping me for surgery. The nurse even rolled me to my van by wheelchair while I was waking up. If anyone needs their wisdom teeth removed or any type of service, I recommend them. They make you feel at home ❤️
