From the moment I walked through the door, my experience was great. I was checked in quickly with a very nice greeting. Mia, (I believe nurse) was awesome, thorough, with a great bedside manner. Finally, Dr. Kratky put us at ease immediately with his knowledge and exceptional care. He explained the surgery, the recovery, and follow-up. He took the time to answer all of our questions with no rush. Great experience!

I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The entire team was welcoming, compassionate, and extremely professional. I was first greeted by 3 smiling women at the front desk who had all of my documentation prepared for me (which immediately calmed my nerves). I then went over the financial portion with a knowledgeable woman named Kristina, she explained my insurance so simply, thoroughly and easy to understand. Then I was brought back for the surgery portion, I had an assistant named Emily who was my emotional support staff member through the whole appointment. She was professional, kind and had a great sense of humor to help calm my nerves. Last, but certainly not least was Dr. Drooger - his bedside manner is nothing I’ve ever experienced before. Not only did he explain in detail each step, he answered all my questions and made what could have been a stressful situation feel calm and manageable. The care I received was top-notch, and I’m so grateful I chose this office. I will recommend Midwest to everyone!!

I had 4 wisdom teeth removed. The extraction itself healed fine, but the overall experience was extremely frustrating due to billing and insurance issues. It took about six months for the office to file an insurance claim, and when they did, it was repeatedly sent to the wrong insurance over the next several months without my knowledge. Despite paying $990 upfront, I later received a notice that the balance would be sent to collections a full YEAR after the procedure because the claim had not been properly filed. Then, I was asked to file the claim myself, despite this being the provider’s responsibility. The claim was eventually submitted correctly nearly 13 months after the procedure with a lot of work on my part. In the same timeframe, my primary dentist filed multiple claims with no issues. Overall, the billing process was a huge headache and more stressful than the procedure itself.
Edit: Although the extraction itself was fine. I am assuming that they have very little practice on darker skin. I blood donate regularly and most times it takes one stick, sometimes 2, but never greater than that. I was stuck 5x. 3x in one arm and 2x in the other.

Dr. Kratky and the entire staff did an amazing job with my wisdom tooth extraction. They made the whole process feel like a breeze. I was honestly very anxious going into the procedure, but they made me feel comfortable and took excellent care of me throughout. Highly recommend them to anyone who is nervous about getting their wisdom teeth removed!

I have never been under anesthesia or had any kind of surgery in my life. So of course I was terrified and unsure. Everyone in the procedure room was the upmost welcoming and understanding group of people I’ve ever encountered in any hospital-like service. Josh Coffey was my doctor, he and his assistants were amazing and assured me of any fear I had. If I could get my wisdom teeth removed again, Midwest OMFS would 100% be my first choice.
My pain is minimal, considering it’s been less than 24 hours of having 4 teeth extracted. I’ve followed their aftercare instructions and haven’t had any complications. I highly recommend this location.
