Every time I visit Midwest the staff is extremely welcoming and friendly. Val has always been so kind and compassionate at my appointments. She understands my anxiety of seeing a dentist and she is patient. Always great conversations to help ease the time in the chair. Val, thank you for everything you have done for me, the conversations we have had, and an always welcoming smile! You will be greatly missed but you so well deserve retirement after committing 39 years to the profession. Thank you and I wish you a happy retirement! Hope to see you around from time to time to catch up! Enjoy!

I had an outstanding experience at Midwest Periodontics! From the moment I walked in, the staff was welcoming and professional.
Dr. Zack is not only incredibly skilled but also takes the time to explain everything clearly. You can tell he genuinely cares about his patients and their long-term oral health. Maddie was just as amazing—kind, attentive, and reassuring throughout my procedure.
The level of care, communication, and precision I experienced here was second to none. Highly recommend Midwest Periodontics to anyone in need of periodontal care!

I have ALWAYS had severe anxiety towards any type of dentistry. Having periodontal disease is not something you can ignore forever. Dr Paul Johnson has been so kind and compassionate. I almost didn’t come to my appointment but I’m so glad I did. My insurance is out of network, but I’ll gladly pay up front to feel comfortable. Please PLEASE don’t overlook this office. Every single person in this office will make you feel so at ease and comfortable. They will NEVER make you feel bad about the state of your oral hygiene. This is the BEST place you can go if you need periodontal treatment. You do not have to worry about anything (besides price lol but that is all dentistry) with this office. You’re in the BEST hands I PROMISE!!!!!

Great place! ALL the staff were very friendly and also very professional. I truly felt like I was being treated by a great team!
They went above and beyond, in my opinion. After a one hundred mile drive, it turned out that I had my dates wrong and showed up two weeks early. Oops.
They managed to get me in anyway. Very much appreciated!
The whole experience was very positive and I will definitely be going back if needed.

Finding a good dentistry team that specializes is hard. Finally found a specialized team after 3 years of living in the Midwest. Midwest Periodontics has managed to create an experience that is based on "care for patient." From the time you walk in to the time you leave, the chain of events is top-notch. The staff is personable, and Dr. Paul is amazing (humble and smart). The whole team is passionate about providing quality care to their patients.

About Midwest Periodontics and Implant Dentistry
Midwest Periodontics and Implant Dentistry is a periodontal and dental implant practice located at 8000 South Cinnamon Ridge Place in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The practice is listed as a periodontist provider serving the Sioux Falls area, focusing on the surgical side of implant dentistry rather than general dental care. Patients considering dental implants can expect a team centered specifically on gum health, bone grafting, and the placement of implants, which is the specialty training that periodontists bring to full arch and All-on-4 style procedures.
The practice offers dental implant solutions including All-on-4 and full-arch treatment, options often chosen by patients who are missing several or all of their teeth and want a fixed, non-removable alternative to traditional dentures. Because periodontists specialize in the tissue and bone that support implants, patients in the Sioux Falls, South Dakota area may be referred here by their general dentist for the surgical placement portion of an implant plan, with restoration completed in coordination with that referring dentist. Anyone considering implants should schedule a consultation to discuss their specific bone health, gum condition, and treatment timeline before moving forward.
