We've been going to Modern Smile for over a year. We were drawn to their office because they are holistic minded and use better for you alternatives along with main stream dental practices. They don't push x-rays, fluoride or use toxic filling materials. We've been very happy with their orthodontic methods and using the Myobrace to correct my son's teeth, bite and palate. The office staff is friendly but the office in general is not overly kid friendly, like, they don't give out prizes to kids or anything like that. We enjoy seeing the hygienist, Katherine. She is friendly, knowledgeable, educates the kids, and is easy to talk to.

The cleaning I received felt rushed and not very thorough. During my previous visit, I was told that I had a cavity on tooth #12 and needed a filling. However, I did not believe there was actually a cavity, so I decided to delay making the appointment. Six months later, I returned to the same practice for another cleaning, this time with Dr. Jan. She did not mention anything about a cavity, which made me think that perhaps there was no issue after all. Another six months later, I went back for another cleaning. This time I saw the first dentist who had originally told me that I had a cavity. During the cleaning, she did not mention it at all, so again I thought it might have been a mistake. However, when I checked out, the hygienist (whose name I unfortunately do not remember) asked if I wanted to schedule an appointment for the filling. Because of the conflicting information, I decided I would call later since I wanted to get a second opinion from another dental practice. Today, I visited my Invisalign orthodontist, who is also a dentist. She examined my teeth and took an X-ray to confirm. She told me that there is no cavity, specifically on tooth #12, which your practice had previously said needed a filling. I am very disappointed with this experience. It made me feel as though I was being encouraged to have dental work done even though there was nothing wrong. Because of this, I no longer feel comfortable continuing my care with this practice

Absolutely THE BEST Dental Experience! I can't say enough amazing things about this practice! From the moment you walk in, you feel welcomed and truly cared for. Dr. Kavandi is exceptional - professional, gentle and always takes the time to explain everything clearly. I know I'm in the best hands. Lorena, Zain and Shaniqua - are friendly, organized, warm and efficient. Jusy lovely people. Jose is great! I appreciate his gentleness and patience. This is the A-Team. They work together beautifully! Highly recommend!!

This is a very professional practice. The staff and Dr. Jan are very friendly and helpful. Dr. Jan does a very thorough cleaning and she and her dental tech offer knowledge of self care. I chose this practice for their biologic and wholistic dental service. I’m quite pleased! Yes, I recommend!

Absolutely an amazing dentist. She was above and beyond expectations. There isn't enough words in the dictionary to describe my beautiful experience with this dentist office. Holistic is the way to go and wish I could have come to this office a long time ago!! Dr. Jan is not only a skilled dentist but she is a true artist. When you meet her she has the most beautiful smile. If I need to come to the dentist again it will be Modern Smile Dental from now on. If I could give more than 5 stars I would happily give much more and then some.....
