I am so glad I found Montecito dental group. I found all of the staff to be friendly, professional and gentle. The welcoming receptionist, Veronica, made it so easy to get all my dental needs met in a timely manner. Awesome scheduling scheduling. Veronica even called me to bump up an appointment when my crown came in early. I’m very grateful.

Great team that work together . I like the way Dr.Baer explains the process while she works. Insurance helps keep cost predictable. Pleasant and effiecient help in the front office also

I am filled with gratitude to have found this dental office covered by my insurance! I have major dental anxiety and Aubrie the dental hygienist there made me feel so comfortable. She was warm, welcoming, communicative and went above and beyond and even helped get a stubborn stain out by getting out a machine that isn’t used in traditional cleanings. Can’t wait to see her again and show her my progress at my next check up! Doctors and office staff are also very warm but I spent most of my time with Aubrie!

I’ve enjoyed my experiences at this practice! Gentle cleanings, short wait times, easy scheduling. I’ve mainly seen Dr. Kidon. She has wonderful bedside manner, it’s clear how knowledgable she is. She did excellent bonding work for me on a front tooth. It came out very natural, she has great attention to detail. Their dental assistant Hope is very experienced and professional as well. Happy to come here for my dental work!

Montecito Dental Group is a family dental practice that has cared for Santa Barbara and Montecito patients for more than 35 years, now located at 3714 State Street in Santa Barbara. The office covers the full range of everyday dental care, including checkups, cleanings, fillings, cosmetic dentistry, and Invisalign clear aligners, along with oral surgery. For patients dealing with missing teeth, the practice offers dental implant treatment, including All-on-4 implants, an approach that supports a complete row of replacement teeth on four implants.
The practice moved into a newly built, modern facility in 2021 and uses current technology such as digital X-rays, panoramic imaging, and laser cavity detection to keep visits comfortable and diagnoses precise. Continuity is a genuine strength here, with many team members having been with the practice for over 16 years, so returning patients tend to see familiar faces at every visit. Montecito Dental Group is led by Dr. Lynda Benedetto, DDS, and Dr. Gregory Scarcello, DDS. Dr. Benedetto earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree with honors from the UCLA School of Dentistry in 1993, after graduating magna cum laude in microbiology from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, and has served the Santa Barbara and Montecito community for more than 30 years. Dr. Scarcello, a Santa Barbara native, earned his bachelor's degree in biochemistry from the University of California San Diego, completed his dental degree at the UCLA School of Dentistry, and finished a general practice residency at the Veterans Affairs hospital in Loma Linda.
