Highly recommend! Recently I had my wisdom teeth removed at Dr. Bhaskar’s office and had a great experience. Moving to the United States from Asia - Vietnam, where I was used to excellent customer service—especially in dental care—I was often disappointed by the indifferent attitudes and poor service here. However, Dr. Bhaskar’s office proved to be worth the investment. The front desk staff were very professional and committed, ensuring I got an appointment within two days and providing helpful guidance about the medications I needed before the procedure. Dr. Bhaskar and his team were very reassuring throughout the entire process, making me feel cared for and supported. Their professionalism and compassionate service made me believe that moving to America was truly worthwhile and worth staying for.
What made this experience even more meaningful was discovering Dr. Bhaskar’s charitable work in Cambodia and Southeast Asia. Knowing that he dedicates himself to helping others beyond his practice.
One area where there is room for improvement is the insurance process. I had to pay over $1,400upfront for the removal of two wisdom teeth and am currently awaiting reimbursement. Streamlining the insurance claims procedure and offering more transparent information about costs and coverage would greatly enhance the overall patient experience.

Very professional and experienced. From the initial consultation to the post operative follow up, everything was handled with the highest level of professionalism and care. The surgeon was exceptionally knowledgeable and took the time to clearly explain the procedure, risks, and recovery process, which immediately put me at ease. On the day of the surgery the entire team was organized and attentive. The procedure itself went perfectly smooth, efficient, and far more comfortable than I had anticipated.
My recovery has also been seamless. I received thorough after instructions. Thanks to the expertise, I experienced only the minimum of discomfort and no complication. I highly recommend Monterey Oral Surgery and DDS, MD Brian Bhaskar.

Dr. Brian Bhaskar is as good as they come --- and frequently better. He is a superb surgeon and doctor but beyond that, is totally approachable as a person. I had 3 teeth removed. Not my most favorite experience but I'm delighted that Dr. Brian Bhaskar was my doctor. All of the office staff from Elizabeth at the front desk to Heidi in the treatment room, were truly great. Everyone cared about my comfort and were constantly attentive. Things happened on time, were never rushed, and always considered my preferences. My only regret is that I can't give Dr. Bhaskar and his whole team 6 stars... or more!

I had my wisdom teeth removed by Dr.Bhaskar and couldn’t be happier with the experience. Dr.Bhaskar was professional, knowledgeable, and took the time to explain the procedure and recovery in a way that really put me at ease. The surgery itself was quick and smooth, and I felt well cared for by the entire staff. Recovery went better than expected, with clear aftercare instructions and helpful follow-up. Dr.Bhaskar’s personal follow up call to check in on me , was such a special gesture. I’m very grateful for the excellent care and would highly recommend Dr.Bhaskar. Thank you!

This was the first time I had a tooth extracted. I was apprehensive but Dr Philip Bhaskar and staff made me feel so comfortable. I had no discomfort. And when I had my implant placed I had Dr Brian Bhaskar. He was so amazing. The apple does not fall far from the tree. I was so blessed to have the “A” team Bhaskar’s taking care of me. I never needed to take pain meds . There is no doubt we are so blessed to have Dr Philip and Dr Brian Bhaskar in our community to take care of our oral surgery needs. Thank you to both of you and your amazing staff for my amazing care ❤️

Monterey Oral Surgery & Dental Implants is an oral and maxillofacial surgery practice located at 337 El Dorado Street, Suite A1 in Monterey, California. Meet the Doctors
The practice is led by a father-and-son team of oral surgeons. Dr. Philip Bhaskar, DMD, is a board-certified, fellowship-trained oral surgeon who has practiced in Monterey since 1988. He earned his dental degree from the University of Florida College of Dentistry, completed a general practice residency at the UCLA-Wadsworth VA Medical Center, and completed his oral and maxillofacial surgery residency and fellowship at the University of Florida. He is board certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, is a Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and is a member of the Academy of Osseointegration. Dr. Brian Bhaskar, DDS, MD, is a dual-degree oral and maxillofacial surgeon who earned both his dental and medical degrees from the University of Washington, where he also completed his general surgery and oral and maxillofacial surgery residency training. His surgical training includes complex implant and dentoalveolar surgery, orthognathic and jaw joint surgery, craniofacial trauma, pathology and microvascular reconstruction. A third-generation Monterey dentist, he returned to the Monterey Peninsula to practice alongside his father.
