We just finished with our ortho appointment with Kaidyn, our new favorite Othodontic Assistant (although it seems like we have a new favorite every time we are seen). Kaidyn seemed completely in tune with how my daughter was feeling and was quick to help her so that she felt more comfortable with the whole process. We appreciate how she took the time to educate us as well.

The hygienists, the dentists and the office staff are fairly friendly. However, they do not respect patients' time. I've used them for about 3 years and they have never had my appointment ready within 15 minutes of the scheduled time. I've even waited up to an hour. The last time I went I had other patients come in after me being served before me and I was just there for a cleaning. I really don't like waiting for 15 minutes to an hour to get a cleaning for an appointment I made 6 months prior. They also charge additional fees for using credit cards but they won't give you change if you pay cash because they don't have that on hand. So I guess you should probably be prepared to pay with a check if you want to not pay extra fees on top of your normal payments. Finally my hygienists were not consistent and got moved around, which I don't think I like because we actually spend more time with the hygienist than the dentist and I prefer to have someone consistent. When I confronted them this last time about it they acted all confused like they didn't know who I was or whatever and I just left. I won't be going back.

Mountain View dental has always been really good to me, especially Kaidyn she has always been good to me and is always a good assistant. She makes me always feel wanted when I’m there, I would always want her to do my braces she did them great and always make them feel like they were good for me. I never complained about her doing my braces, she always did them correct and exactly how I wanted them. Kaidyn was a wonderful assistant!

Even though the hygienists are great and the dentists are very thorough, Pat, the financial manager, will completely ruin your experience. She was very disrespectful and made me feel that helping patients was an inconvenience. You might as well handle your insurance yourself because she doesn’t seem interested in doing her job. Every time we called with questions, she acts as if we aren’t worth her time. When we questioned information we were given, instead of helping, she accused me of being disrespectful. If it wasn’t for the Holly the hygienist we would never return. They deserve a much better representation from the front office.

Up until this time, I’ve had a great experience with this practice, which is why I was so surprised and disappointed by what happened today. What should have been a routine filling turned into a nearly two-hour procedure. I received four numbing injections, the filling had to be removed and redone, and there was a significant amount of pulling and pressure throughout the appointment. I want to be fair and note that the dentist was gentle and professional. My concern was with the dental assistant, who was extremely rough during the procedure. Instruments slipped multiple times, resulting in me being hit in the face repeatedly while attempts were made to retrieve material from my tooth. By the end of the appointment, I was in tears. After leaving the treatment room, I discovered blood around my mouth and on my face. Hours later, my gums are dark purple, bruised, and throbbing with pain. I understand that dental procedures don’t always go as planned, but patients deserve to be treated with care and consideration. Unfortunately, I left feeling traumatized rather than cared for.
