I had a great experience with Dr. Gauthier! He was very warm and friendly, and explained everything that he was thinking going into the procedure in a clear manner. He used his clinical judgement and I ended up needing less treatment that we both originally thought which was a bonus. He was very understanding about my anxieties going into the procedure, and checked in consistently throughout. I appreciate his work, and his coordination with my endodontist to help resolve my issue!

Dr. Gauthier and all the staff at both the Lake Zurich and Arlington Heights office have been great! My son is 12 and was very nervous about a tooth that needed to be extracted. The nurses were so caring and compassionate. Dr. Gauthier was great with my son and made him feel so comfortable. Thank you for the great care!!

I recently had oral surgery here, and I have to say it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The entire team had such a calming and professional bedside manner—they made me feel cared for the moment I walked in. I was definitely a bit nervous going in, but the doctor took the time to explain everything and really put me at ease. Before I knew it, the procedure was over—quick, smooth, and completely stress-free. If you're looking for a place where compassion meets expertise, this is it!

I had three teeth removed by Matthew Gauthier. Two wisdom teeth and a cracked back molar caused by the impacted wisdom tooth. I was in and out in under an hour. It waa remarkable. Pain free. Great staff. 10 out of 10. Dr. Gauthier is the man.

Northwest Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery is an oral surgery practice with offices in Arlington Heights, Elgin and Lake Zurich, Illinois. The Lake Zurich office is located at 950 West State Route 22, Suite 165, in a business complex off Route 22 with convenient parking, and it serves patients from Lake Zurich, Barrington, Kildeer, Long Grove, Hawthorn Woods, Wauconda, Vernon Hills, Libertyville, Mundelein, Lincolnshire, Cary and Crystal Lake. The office is open Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM and Friday from 7:30 AM to 2:00 PM, and is closed on Wednesdays and weekends.
For patients missing teeth, the practice performs a full range of dental implant procedures, including full-arch fixed bridges, implant supported dentures and All-on-4 same-day teeth replacement, along with bone grafting and platelet-rich plasma therapy to support implant treatment.
