We had an exceptional consultation with Dr. Norwood and truly appreciated the friendly staff and welcoming environment. Every detail of the procedure I was interested in was carefully and thoroughly explained, without feeling rushed. Courtney went above and beyond with her follow-up care, leaving us feeling optimistic and confident about moving forward with Dr. Norwood.

I’ve been a patient at Norwood Family Dental for about 3 years, and I can honestly say I’ve never once been treated poorly or felt like my needs weren’t met. The receptionist and assistants are always patient and kind, creating a welcoming environment from the moment you walk in. Dr. Norwood himself exceeds every expectation of a dentist. He takes the time to talk with his patients, makes sure you’re comfortable, and consistently checks in throughout the procedure. His gentle and thoughtful approach makes a huge difference, especially for someone like me who has always had fear of the dentist. All in all, I highly recommend Norwood Family Dental to anyone—especially those who may feel anxious about dental visits. Dr. Norwood is truly a kind, gentle, and patient dentist, and I gladly give him 5 stars.

I'm really loving my new dentist right now. I went in both exited and terrified. I just got 9 teeth pulled at once, and he was fast. It was painless and over before I knew it. Very kind Dr Dan and the nurses are all so kind and pleasant. I've never seen a dentist office with so many smiling people. Even their patients were pleasant and were very kind. This is the best place for dental work as far as I'm concerned. I'm actually looking forward to the future visits now as well. Thank you Norwood dental. Next visit, I came in in pain, they fixed my denture shaping at no charge. I was in a lot of pain and my face was swollen. After applying ice to my face when I got home I was better. Face still hurts but NOTHING LIKE BEFORE. Thank you Dr Dan and all your assistants. From Carla Lou Who.

My visit to Norwood Dental was unfortunately not a positive experience. From the moment I entered the office, I felt somewhat uneasy, though Dr. Norwood himself was pleasant and approachable during our initial interaction. However, the quality of the dental cleaning was disappointing. The appointment lasted approximately 15 minutes or less, which felt unusually brief compared to past experiences at other practices. The individual who performed the cleaning did not introduce herself as a hygienist, and the service seemed rushed and incomplete. Only a few of my lower front teeth were scaled, they were quickly polished, and flossing was not performed. In my many years of routine dental cleanings, I have never had an appointment that felt so abbreviated or lacking in thoroughness. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I do not plan to return.

I switched my kids to Norwood a couple of years ago because we thought they were in network. Come to find out they weren’t but we liked Dr Norwood and the hygienist so we stayed. Toward the end of 2025 we kept getting bumped for a cleaning for my son because they no longer had any hygienists. Finally had a scheduled cleaning in December 2025 “with the dentist” on a Friday because there wasn’t a hygienist available. I questioned that but the lady I spoke with said it wasn’t a problem. The appointment from the start was a ruckus. An “assistant” who we had never met came and got us then fumbled around trying to take X-rays of my son’s teeth. Had to keep starting over so I finally asked “Are you the dentist?” And this person responded “oh nah! I’m just the assistant” then a woman came in, didn’t introduce herself and immediately started picking at my son’s teeth for all of maybe a minute, rattled off something about some cavities that nobody could understand because of the thick accent so I questioned what she said. Again, mumbled something I couldn’t understand then LEFT the “assistant” to finish flossing my son’s teeth. It was such a joke. They scheduled him an appt to have the “cavity” fixed but I immediately got him in to another dentist for a second opinion and I’m glad I did. The “shadow” they claimed needed drilled on was explained to us by the second opinion dentist who said it’s a watch spot and no need to drill if it wasn’t necessary. NOT to mention all the build up that was left on his teeth from his cleaning the month prior. They put the scope in his mouth and I saw it, asked if that was build up then explained he just had his teeth cleaned the month before and they were shocked. I called Norwood dental and spoke with Elizabeth and let her know I had picture proof of what wasn’t “cleaned” off my son’s teeth in December. I also asked if Dr Norwood was no longer there and she told me “he’s traveling more” SO, word to the wise. Go somewhere else.
