I had an excellent experience with Dr. West and his team. From the initial consultation through the implant procedure, everything was handled with care. Dr. West took the time to explain the process in detail and made me feel completely comfortable moving forward.
Malissa was outstanding and incredibly thoughtful throughout the experience. I get a little anxious in any dental chair. She made sure I understood what to expect and followed up with me to make sure everything went smoothly.
The procedure itself was seamless and the results have been fantastic. This was a tooth I had removed years earlier. If I had known it was going to be this easy to replace, I would have done it years ago. I highly recommend this practice, Dr. West, and his team. They will take care of you.

Would give 0 stars if possible. Dr. West should be nicknamed Worthless West.
November 2022 I made the mistake of going to OMS Nashville & letting Dr. West operate on me. Going into this I had a lot of previous trauma with an oral surgeon out in California that has given me extreme anxiety with anything teeth. Because of my previous trauma I write everything down from dates, what the app was for, what the doctors said, what was done on me, etc. At the time Dr. West told me they extracted my bad tooth & out in an implant. I asked more than once if they had to do a bone graph & was told no. When I had some post op issues & called to speak to the surgical nurse she made it seem like I was a nuisance & she couldn’t be bothered with me. I got cleared to have a crown put on in March. April 5th I had the crown put on by my normal dentist. From the start it always bothered me.. Per Dr. West & OMS Nashville’s form they made me sign if I had issues to go see my normal dentist, which I did many times. I never went back to Dr. West or OMS because I didn’t feel welcome.
That’s until Monday September 8, 2025 I was in so much pain & per my dentist instruction. Just trying to book the appointment & to confirm I had the correct address the girl on the phone sounded annoyed. So off to a bad start. I get there & they make us wait forever before taking me back. The guy that brought me back & wanted me to do a ct scan.. He got upset & grumpy with me when he asks me to take my earrings out & I said I couldn’t without tools, they have never interfered with scans before, & like I told them the last time this happened to tell me in advance if it’s that big of deal so I can get retainers put in. Anyways, Dr. West finally come in & the arrogance is radiating off of him to tell me my implant is failing. When I tell him how long I have been in pain he said “well I have been here why haven’t you come see me?” To which I said “well this form you had me sign says to go see my dentist & why would I want to come see a surgeon for an implant that realistically didn’t even last 2.5 years of use once I got the crown on it” (it also cost like $4000) Then Dr. West kept quoting how dental implants are 98% successful.. Once when I asked what is preventing this from happening again? He replied with “well you have already need part of the 2%” So I asked Dr. West who conducted the study & who funded it? To which he gaped at me like a fish, shrugged his shoulder & said that he “read it somewhere” Then he wanted to look in my file to see what he did last time when he mentions he had done a bone graph to my utter surprise. I had been told & I had asked to confirm in 22/23 that they had not done a bone graph. He also implied that the implant failing is MY FAULT because I “clench my teeth at night” which technically is true however I sleep with an appliance that doesn’t allow my back teeth to touch (which is where the implant is) & I wear them nightly. He also kept trying to say it last three years which it was 2.5 & that it wasn’t a big deal.. to which I said “are you gonna pay for it? Are you gonna pay me for the work I’ll miss? Or what about the vacation I have to cancel because this needs done asap? Not to mention the plan he laid out puts my teeth at the center of my life for year. After the lies, gaslighting, & not even being able to name credible resources for the studies he is sighting I had finally had enough & just walked out.
Went to my normal dentist on September 11th to have the crown removed & a healing plate (it maybe called something else, I’m not a dentist) put in so they could see the implant better & he couldn’t screw the new plate in because when he tried the entire implant would turn.. So it had to come out right then.. It took less than one song with my head phones in to come out. Just to show you how much the implant from Dr. West had failed.
Edit on 9/22: no one ever called me like their reply said they would
9/23 they did call when I was working but I have said all I have to say in my review

Amazing crew! Front desk was kind and thorough. Vera and Dr. West rocked it. I came in unfamiliar with extractions and quite a bit of anxiety set in. They had such comforting bedside manner. Would highly recommend OMS for oral surgery needs-especially Dr. West and Vera.

My son has always had anxiety with doctors visits, etc. He had his wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Hamilton. Her assistant Gabriella was wonderfully compassionate with my son and helped him ground himself during a moment of panic before his procedure. I was overcome with emotion and she helped calm me, too. We were in and out in a timely fashion and post op instructions were well explained. Dr. Hamilton even called to check on my son (and myself) that evening. Highly recommend!
