Dr Hamilton and her staff are very kind and answer any questions you have. They make you feel comfortable. I went in to have my wisdom teeth taken out and I fell asleep as she was talking to me, woke up and did not feel a thing. It was great. Also thank you Sarah for putting up with me, I was told I was being flirty after. đ

I typically do not write negative reviews, but in this case, it is imperative that I share my experience and issue a clear warning: the negative reviews about DR. BRUCE MCLEOD are accurate and should be taken VERY SERIOUSLY! Although many of these reviews appear to have been removed from the OMS Nashville review page, a quick search of DR. BRUCE MCLEOD reveals a troubling history â including a consistent 1.8-star rating and concerning patient reports dating back to 2016. Yes, thatâs right! NEARLY A DECADE!
I had my wisdom teeth removed on Thursday, May 22, by Dr. McLeod at OMS Nashville. I was referred to this practice by my primary dentist and initially had a positive consultation. As someone with severe dental anxiety, I felt cautiously optimistic after the first visit.
Unfortunately, that sense of trust was short-lived. Just two days after the procedure, I woke up in severe, unmanageable pain. I contacted the emergency line and spoke with Dr. Cone, who was extremely compassionate, helpful, and prescribed additional medication, including an antibiotic and a steroid.
By Sunday, I experienced some initial relief and reduced swelling.
However, as the feeling in my mouth returned, I noticed an intense, stabbing sensation under my tongue, which I initially attributed to my permanent retainer. After attempting to treat the discomfort with dental wax, I realized the pain was originating from the back of my mouthâan area with no retainer.
Due to the holiday weekend, I was unable to be seen at OMS until Tuesday, but the pain became unbearable. I sought emergency care at a separate dental facility and paid an additional $356 out-of-pocket â on top of the $1,300 already paid to OMS. After a CT scan and evaluation, I was informed that I had suffered a lingual jaw fracture. According to the emergency dentist, this injury seemed to be the result of what they described as perhaps stemming from a âWild Wild Westâ surgical technique and/or excessive force.
Instead of exercising the appropriate level of care and patience, Dr. McLeod appeared to have used such excessive force during the extraction, resulting in a fractured part of my jaw and multiple bone splinters left behind in the surgical site. These fragments were embedded near my gums and causing sharp, persistent pain â described by the emergency dentist as decaying bone that my body was attempting to expel.
The sensation was akin to having a fishhook lodged in my mouth, leaving me unable to eat, sleep, or function normally.
I returned to OMS Nashville with great anxiety to have this addressed. Fortunately, Dr. Cone and his team were exemplary â beyond compassionate to my excruciating pain, thorough, and professional. I only wish I had been in their care from the beginning. I was placed under anesthesia once again so the damage that wasnât resolved at the emergency dentist could be corrected.
I am DEEPLY concerned that OMS Nashville continues to allow Dr. McLeod to practice despite MULTIPLE, well-documented patient complaints spanning nearly a decade that ALL seem to share the common theme of complete carelessness. Unfortunately, this reflects a serious lapse in oversight and patient care.
For your safety and well-being â I urge you in the strongest possible terms to avoid any treatment by Dr. McLeod.
Protect your health, your finances, and your peace of mind. This was an extremely traumatic experience that I would not wish upon my worst enemy. Please let me reiterate if I was not clear enough above:
Do NOT see Dr. McLeod for ANYTHING & do NOT let anyone tell you or convince you otherwise.

This was the best dental experience of my life. I was really scared to have a tooth extracted. Dr. Hamilton was so kind and gentle. She made the procedure easy and painless. Everyone on the staff was courteous and helpful. Dr. Hamilton even called me later that day to check on me. One fantastic woman !

I am a person who has a deep dread (actual phobia) of being in a Dentistâs chair. It became evident I needed to have a back tooth pulled. My dentist recommended OMS Nashville (Goodlettsville office). I had a consultation with Dr Margaret Hamilton. She immediately put me at ease with her calming presence, willingness to answer all of my questions, and assurance that I would experience no pain. I opted for complete sedation. No pain at allâŚeven hours after the procedure! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Dr Hamilton to other patients. If ever in need of oral surgery, I will definitely seek her services again.
