I had an excellent experience with a wisdom tooth extraction yesterday. The practice is pleasant, thorough and extremely capable. They answered all of my many questions and the actual procedure was much easier than I anticipated. My comfort was a priority to them as well. Thank you!

We would like to file a complaint regarding our recent visit to your dental office. When we arrived, we explained that we did have dental insurance, but we did not have the policy information with us at that moment. We were told that this would not be a problem, that we could provide the insurance information at our next visit, and that we would be seen for the examination using our regular Blue Cross medical insurance. However, after the appointment, when we went to check out, the middle-aged woman working at one of the two front desks insisted that we had to pay immediately because we did not have dental insurance. We explained several times that we do have dental insurance and only needed a little time to obtain the policy information. Instead of trying to help or calmly explain the situation, she laughed during the conversation and made dismissive remarks, including saying, “We’re not at a market here.” Her attitude was rude, disrespectful, and humiliating. We felt talked down to and treated without basic courtesy. In the end, we called our insurance company, obtained the policy number, and provided it to your office. The insurance issue was resolved. However, that does not change the fact that we were given incorrect information before the appointment, and then treated rudely afterward. It is unacceptable for patients to receive conflicting information and then be mocked or belittled when trying to explain the situation. We hope this incident will be taken seriously and that appropriate action will be taken to ensure patients are treated with respect and provided with clear, accurate information in the future.

Dr. Thompson and his practice are hands down amazing. From my consultation for a wisdom tooth I was concerned about (one was impacted and I was already considering removal), I was definitely nervous, but he was super friendly, fun, and very straightforward, telling me it wouldn’t be bad and just a few days of downtime. It was my lower wisdom tooth, which I’ve always been told can be tougher than the top ones, and I scheduled the extraction two weeks later expecting it to take around 30 minutes, but I was in and out in about 10 minutes. They usually recommend IV sedation, but since it was just one tooth I asked if I could do it with only local anesthetic, and Dr. Thompson had no problem with that and said it was perfectly fine (another provider I saw before kept pushing sedation, which felt unnecessary and too expensive). The numbing shots were honestly the most uncomfortable part, and during the procedure I only felt pressure and the snapping/cracking of the tooth as he worked; he also talked me through what he was doing, which helped a lot, and I was surprised he was able to remove my sideways impacted bottom tooth without any issue. Recovery has been incredibly smooth. No swelling, no real pain, just some tenderness in the area—and I’m definitely not 21 anymore so I expected it to be a bit tougher lol. Highly recommend Dr. Thompson for anyone needing oral surgery. Everything went better than expected ❤️🙏🏽

This review may sound almost unbelievable. I think if I read it myself I would suspect it to be much exaggerated. I have to say in truth this was the greatest dental experience of my life and I am 60 yrs old for the record. What I feared and reality was diametrically opposed. A wisdom tooth extraction. I expected a lot of pain for a long time during the appointment and for much time after. I had a molar extraction a few years back that was like that and I was expecting worse. The reality less than 5 minutes in the waiting room before and after quick xrays. In the chair, 5 minute numbing with a mild poke and a pinch. 5 minutes for the Novocain to work and seriously the extraction itself...about 30 seconds. "That was awesome" were my exact words (again just local anesthesia). A great initial conversation with Dr. Thompson on common interests and a great sense of humor..."not bad for my first time...". Zero pain during the extraction and very little after. I only used some Advil and Tylonol for mild headaches, but no real pain at the extraction site. Thanks for the great experience and service by all. I will certainly be back if I have any similar needs in the future, with much less fear and trepidation. Many blessings!

I had a wisdom tooth extracted by Dr. Thompson and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. He was efficient, quick, and immediately put me at ease from the moment I sat down. The entire procedure was surprisingly painless, and everything was explained clearly along the way. The staff was also professional and friendly. If you’re nervous about dental work or extractions, I highly recommend Dr. Thompson!
