Got wisdom removal surgery done here and the entire staff was wonderful and friendly. Dr Stineman was very informative and made sure to cover any questions I had. The nurses were very nice and made sure I was comfortable. Would highly recommend to anyone needing tooth extractions done馃憤.

When my teen was visibly stressed, Dr. Stineman declined to proceed with the procedure and left the room. He chose not to communicate his decision to me; instead, the information was relayed by the prep nurse. She explained that wisdom teeth removal is considered an elective procedure and that some individuals do not experience problems from their wisdom teeth. In our case, however, the wisdom teeth *are* causing pain. There was no follow-up discussion from Dr. Stineman regarding alternative options or next steps. Additionally, OSC should review their information on the practice鈥檚 website to better align with their office policy, particularly the statement: 鈥淲isdom teeth do not have to be removed. Unfortunately, this does not generally happen. The extraction of wisdom teeth is necessary when they are prevented from properly erupting within the mouth," since that is contrary to what we were told. I am very disappointed with the lack of compassion from the surgeon as it only has added to my child's fear and generate more anxiety. I have communicated my concerns with the referring dentist, and I will not recommend this surgeon.

I had all four wisdom teeth removed the on the same day. I was nervous, but the doctor reassured me. He answered all of my many questions, without complaint. A week after my surgery, I called back with an issue and he helped me. The nurse was really nice and friendly too. I would definitely recommend this place!

I鈥檓 very impressed with Dr. Convey and the staff at the clinic. I was worried about my first tooth removal, but chose local anesthetic because it would be gentler on my system and I have chronic health issues. It went so smoothly! It also healed quickly and Dr. Convey was responsive to my concerns both before and after the procedure. I will need some additional work done and am so happy to have found a doctor whom I can trust!
I鈥檓 not sure why other reviewers think that every medical specialist must be available at the drop of a hat. I鈥檝e had no problems getting appointments within a reasonable amount of time. I鈥檓 inclined to think that it鈥檚 best if they schedule enough time for each patient to receive excellent care, instead of rushing to accommodate everyone who demands an appointment immediately.

About Oral Surgery Center PC
Oral Surgery Center, PC is an oral and maxillofacial surgery practice located at 2304 Taylor Avenue in Norfolk, Nebraska. The office is led by oral and maxillofacial surgeon Jon D. Stineman, DDS, MD, who practices a range of procedures from dental implants and bone grafting to oral pathology and wisdom teeth removal. The practice also treats facial trauma and impacted canines and performs pre-prosthetic surgery, which prepares the mouth for dentures or other replacement teeth. The surgical staff is trained in assisting with intravenous sedation in the office.
For patients considering dental implants, the practice describes implants as small titanium posts placed into the jawbone to serve as substitutes for tooth roots, supporting a single crown, a fixed bridge, or a full set of replacement teeth that may be fixed or removable. The surgeon handles the implant surgery, any tooth extractions, and bone grafting when it is needed, while the patient's own restorative dentist makes the final replacement teeth. Bone grafting services listed on the site include sinus lifts, ridge augmentation, and socket preservation, and the site notes that in some cases implants can be placed at the same time a tooth is removed. The website offers patient information on first visits, scheduling, insurance, and financial policy, and referring dentists have a dedicated section.
