I scheduled what I believed was an appointment related to a surgical tooth implant and waited nearly a month to be seen. I even took a day off work to attend the appointment. One thing that seemed unusual from the start was being scheduled for 2:30 PM on a friday when the office closes at 3:00 PM, but I trusted that everything had been arranged properly. After arriving, I learned that the appointment was only a screening or consultation rather than the actual procedure I believed I had been scheduled for. This was never clearly communicated to me beforehand. As a result, I spent weeks waiting, took time off work, and left feeling like my time had been wasted. I felt misled because I believed I was coming in for treatment related to my implant, not simply to pay for an examination and imaging that did not accomplish the purpose of my visit. What made the experience even more frustrating was being charged two separate payments of $225, totaling $450, despite not receiving the treatment I expected. I do not feel the purpose of the appointment or the associated costs were adequately explained in advance. Had I known this was only a consultation, I would have made a different decision regarding the appointment. I was also surprised to see two separate $225 charges processed on my debit card, as I did not fully understand why there would be two charges for that visit. To make matters worse, after I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, Dr. Simmons' response stated that I was not a candidate for the procedure. If that was the case, I question why I was charged $225 for imaging and an examination that had nothing to do with the primary reason I scheduled the appointment. If I was not a candidate, that should have been communicated before I waited nearly a month, took a vacation day from work, and paid hundreds of dollars for an appointment that did not provide the treatment I believed I was receiving. Based on my experience, I was disappointed with the level of communication and professionalism I received from Dr. Simmons and the office staff. Rather than leaving with confidence in the care I was receiving, I left feeling confused, frustrated, and as though my concerns were not taken seriously. I also felt that staff members were unable or unwilling to provide clear explanations regarding the appointment, billing, or next steps, which only added to my frustration. When I later requested a refund because I felt the purpose of my appointment had not been fulfilled, I was extremely frustrated. From my perspective, I had waited nearly a month, used a vacation day from work, paid $450, and still did not receive the treatment I believed I had scheduled. The entire experience left me feeling that my time was wasted, my concerns were dismissed, and I was treated with a lack of respect as a patient. Patients deserve clear communication, transparency regarding costs, and accurate expectations before arriving for treatment. They should know exactly what type of appointment they are scheduling, what services will be performed, and what charges they should expect before arriving. Unfortunately, my experience fell far short of that standard. I hope Erie Oral Surgery improves its communication, scheduling, and billing practices so future patients do not experience the same confusion and frustration. Based on my personal experience, I cannot recommend this office and would encourage others to ask detailed questions about appointment types, procedures, imaging, examinations, and all associated costs before scheduling. The employees are true followers and love being controlled. If your internally miserable & love to treat ppl with no respect right along with your employees that look as if they are scared & follow your lead then just say that lol 200k a year with no skill or common sense. My experience was disappointing from beginning to end, and I would advise others to exercise caution to avoid the same confusion, unexpected expenses, and frustration that I experienced. Update: I GOT MY REFUND THAT YALL REFUSED LOL

Dr. Simmons is incredible! Very kind and patient and will do his best to calm nervous patients. Although, we couldn't do my dental work today due to my anxiety, I would so try again with the office with the laughing gas next time, which I plan to do! :)

I had to have a tooth extracted and was dreading this appointment. The front office staff were nice even after I was informed my appointment was actually scheduled for that morning not in the afternoon. They fit me in without a long wait. Dr. Simmons and his assistant made me feel relaxed and had that tooth out in a minute and no pain. I am highly recommending Dr. Simmons for your oral surgery.

My daughter has to get a couple teeth extracted. She was very nervous and the doctor did very well, he explained everything step by step and what he was doing and how it would feel and it made her less anxious. The office staff was very nice as well. I would definitely recommend this place!
