Took great care of my daughter. She was understandably nervous and throughout process was made to feel comfortable and receive high level care. Follow up care outstanding.

I have been going to Dr. Jepsen for several years with my implant needs. He is professional and knows what he is doing and makes you feel comfortable. He has a very good bedside manner! I experience little to no pain and never get my prescriptions filled for pain management.

Very smooth very easy very kind. Just a suggestion would be to have what ever prescriptions are needed sent to your pharmacy the day before so after you drop off your family member you can run pick those up real fast and not have to go pick them up after the procedure when they are ready to be home.

Great experience! The doctor and staff were concerned about my comfort and pain level. The pre-office video helped me feel confident about what was going to happen. I have had very little pain. The exposed nerve was covered and I have had a little discomfort is all. Highly recommend this office.

I hate going to the dentist but Dr. Jensen was very skilled. I suffered less trauma and swelling than with any other dentist I have dealt with. EXTREMELY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!

Oral Surgery Specialists of Idaho is an oral and maxillofacial surgery practice with offices in Pocatello and Blackfoot, Idaho. The Blackfoot office is located at 1177 Parkway Drive and is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The practice traces its roots to 1949, when Dr. Bland Weaver Sutton, one of the first oral surgeons in Idaho, opened the business, and the current team describes itself as continuing that legacy of patient-centered, comfortable care for southeast Idaho.
Dental implants are the most popular tooth replacement option the practice provides at its Blackfoot office, and the surgeons also place implant-supported dentures and bridges that can restore a single tooth or an entire arch of teeth. Bone and soft tissue grafting is offered to help patients who may not otherwise have enough jaw bone for a stable implant. Other services include wisdom teeth removal, tooth extractions, impacted tooth exposure, oral pathology, corrective jaw surgery, pre-prosthetic surgery, reconstructive surgery, treatment for jaw joint disorders, cleft lip and palate care, and cosmetic surgery. The practice uses three-dimensional cone beam imaging for treatment planning and offers several anesthesia options, including in-office intravenous sedation and, in some cases, general anesthesia. New patient registration and a Spanish-language version of the website are available online.
The practice's oral surgeon is Shawn A. Jepsen, DMD, who is board certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and serves patients in Pocatello and Blackfoot. Dr. Jepsen was born and raised in Pocatello and graduated magna cum laude from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry, where he was a member of the National Dental Honor Society. He completed residencies at Tripler Army Medical Center and Madigan Army Medical Center and worked as an oral surgeon in the military for ten years before returning to southeast Idaho. The practice's website also honors the memory of Mark E. Baker, DDS, its longtime surgeon, who recently passed away; Dr. Jepsen is continuing care for his patients.
