I had an excellent experience at Oral Surgery Specialty of Tennessee. Dr. Cheung went above and beyond, he walked me through every step of the process and made sure I felt comfortable and informed. He and his team were incredibly caring, professional, and reassuring, which put me completely at ease. My extraction was quick and smooth, and I had a much faster recovery than expected. I’m very grateful for such a thoughtful and skilled team, and I highly recommend them to anyone in need of oral surgery.

I just had wisdom teeth removal here. All of mine were able to be pulled. I stayed awake for the procedure and was very nervous. The staff was tremendous. They talked me through it all. They told me everything they were doing as they were doing it and even asked if I prefer them to not talk. The Doctor was compassionate, reassuring, and supportive not to just me but all his staff in the room too. The numbing took about 30 minutes then the procedure itself for all 4 teeth only took 10 minutes! I’m post op day two and have no pain or swelling! I highly recommend Oral Surgery Specialists for any needs you may have regarding oral surgery.

Amazing staff, friendly and makes sure you are comfortable the whole time. I had 2 exposed nerves I had been dealing with for about a year and was in extreme pain and couldn't handle it much longer. They got me in and a week later i had my surgery. It was fast and painless. I had sedation done as well. They shaved part of my jaw bone down and got not just 1 or 2 or 3 but 7 teeth cut out! I have very little swelling and not too much pain considering 7 teeth got cut out plus the jaw bone shaved down. They made me feel very at ease and happy with the process. It is a little expensive but for how amazing they do with people and the comfortability and the confidence they have in there work is amazing. If you need surgery and you are worried about the pain or scared something might go wrong then this is the place for you. It was nearly $4,000 total for what i had done. I never write reviews but i felt like this place deserves one. Yall are amazing!!!

Dr Cheung and Dr Nagy are both very friendly and professional. The staff there are also very nice and knowledgeable. They were quick to take care of my wisdom teeth and provided quality care. Would recommend to anyone!

I accompanied my mom here for an oral surgery and upon arrival we were met by the receptionist Nicole who seemed very put off and annoyed and was quite alright with making this known. To say she was rude is quite an understatement. After the initial ordeal was taken care of she and some others sat at the front desk and discussed pregnancies, delivering and depression in great length, sharing their own birthing experiences (and sparing no details) Rather inappropriate given the setting and the fact that patients and visitors in the lobby had no trouble hearing the chatter. And I should probably mention the gentleman who stood waiting for help with a billing inquiry while they discussed their life events. BUT Dr Cheung and Danielle were excellent and provided me with a very thorough overall of how things went and what to expect post surgery. From one healthcare worker to another, the way this receptionist talked to and acted to my mother is not the impression you want to leave your patients with…. While the surgeon and his assistant were wonderful the first impression upon arrival was tactless enough that I personally wouldn’t recommend or use this facility.

Meet the Doctors

Dr. Cheung earned his degrees from the University of Michigan and the University of Tennessee Medical Center, completed his residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery there, and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Dr. Nagy earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry and completed her residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville; her clinical scope includes tooth extractions, dental implant placement, bone grafting, jaw reconstruction, oral biopsies, and in-office anesthesia. All three surgeons have worked together as part of the same surgical team for years and take a collaborative approach with patients' general dentists.
