This was hands-down the best dental experience my husband has ever had. He needed two teeth removed that were broken at the gum line, and the whole team treated him with such genuine care and respect. They took the time to show us around, made sure we were comfortable, and even let me stay with him during the procedure.
You could feel how much they love what they do. Every detail felt thoughtful, not rushed. It’s rare to walk out of a dental office feeling grateful, but that’s exactly how we felt.

Hands down THE best dentist I've ever been to. This is the 5th dentist office I've been to in my life (first in Rapid City) and I am so thankful I chose Orchard Meadows. My hygienist was thorough, asking me questions even before she started evaluating my teeth. She took the time to make sure I was comfortable and answered all my questions. The female dentist also took the time to examine my teeth (not just the poke 3 teeth and call it a day). The check out receptionist was also kind. I didn't expect to spend 2 full hours at an initial dental visit, but this office takes the time to hear your concerns, evaluate thoroughly, and answer all questions. I will never go anywhere else. Great job all around Orchard Meadows!

Very friendly and informative staff. Easy experience. My DH explained every procedure to me, what the photos meant, what I should expect, etc. I felt very taken care of. They also gave me a goodie bag with my name written on it. AND they heave each client a fresh baked cookie! We worked out a treatment plan for my cavities (whoops) and I will be sticking with them for a while. Very happy I went to Orchard Meadows. This is the cleanest my teeth have ever been.

Had a filling come out, my dentist was out of town. Spoke with Amy at Orchard Meadows, she got me in same day. Staff was very friendly. Dr. Kate and Trish were wonderful and got me taken care of. Appreciate all of you! Cindy

The team was very professional and did a great job at explaining everything to me. They really care about your oral health and it shows! If you’re looking for a practice whose staff are passionate about the work they do, this is definitely the place.

About Orchard Meadows Family Dental & Denture Clinic
Orchard Meadows Family Dental & Denture Clinic has been serving families in Rapid City and Spearfish, South Dakota since 2006 from its office on Elderberry Boulevard. The practice offers dental implants, dentures, cosmetic dentistry, restorative dentistry, cleanings and checkups, and emergency dentistry. Implant care includes single tooth implants, full mouth dental implants with same day options for eligible patients, implant supported dentures, and bone grafting for patients who need more bone before an implant can be placed. Implants are placed in house at both the Rapid City and Spearfish offices.
The practice takes a comfort first approach designed for people who feel nervous about the dentist or who have not been in for a while. The office is set up to feel more like a living room, with a fireplace, real furniture, televisions, massage chairs, and chocolate chip cookies baked fresh every day. For anxious patients, the team offers nitrous oxide, also called laughing gas, and intravenous moderate sedation. New patient visits start with a conversation, digital x-rays, and a thorough exam, with findings explained in plain language. Orchard Meadows is currently accepting new patients at both locations.
Meet the Doctors
The Rapid City office is led by Dr. Mark Garner, the practice's owner and lead dentist. Dr. Garner is a US Air Force veteran and a 2006 graduate of the University of Nebraska Medical Center, and the practice notes he has been voted Best Dentist in the Black Hills for four consecutive years. He places implants in house, offers full arch same day implant treatment, is licensed to administer intravenous moderate sedation, and is a member of the American Dental Association, the South Dakota Dental Association, and the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. The Rapid City clinical team also includes Dr. Tyler Juhlin, DDS, and Dr. Katie Juhlin, DDS, both graduates of the University of Nebraska Medical Center who provide general dentistry for patients of all ages, and Dr. Emily Hvezda, who earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine from Midwestern University's School of Dental Medicine and focuses on relationship based, personalized care.
