My experience was courteous, expedient, and professional staff. I do not understand some of the negative reviews. That simply was not my experience. Everyone was friendly and had a sense of humor.
Doctor Nugyen was friendly and personable. I cannot say that I have ever heard a dentist sing to the background music during the procedure. Nice touch doctor Tina! One thing I can say is she is fast. Your chair time will be minimal compared to others. Her assistant worked with her flawlessly.
Greed? They are a business, not a charity. Get over it. The imaging is a bit pricey, but I understand. I want the doctor to have all of the information she needs prior to performing the procedure. Total cost for a canine root canal was just under $1400 with imaging. The entire procedure was done in an hour. Imaging was done in a prior separate appointment taking around 45 minutes.

Was a bit concerned with the reviews posted here.. However, went to the office to make my own conclusion.
From the time I walked in, the office is clean and orderly and very professional. The front desk was very kind and courteous. When taken back to the exam the assistant was amazing and gentle with the x-rays considering where the tooth that I was having a problem with is. She described everything she was doing and why. Saw Dr. Sherry for the exam which she found an additional issue that I was not aware of. All have amazing bedside manners. Went back to the front to discuss the estimate, which the prices are very fair and reasonable for the services being provided.
As a dental assistant for the past 30 plus years, and understanding the cost of care, I am writing this review so that people are not put off on going to this office.. they are very kind and professional with wonderful care.
Specialized care is always more expensive but the prices are very fair and reasonable.

I had a pleasant reception, clear communication, care for my needs, needed availability, quality work, and clear communication of the costs. I consider this experience to have been excellent.
During the root canal itself the doctor and assistant were very pleasant and enjoyed working with each other while still attentive to my needs and the task at hand. This is important to me, because I want the team working on me to work well together so it can be done quickly and done well!

I did like the Dr. that preformed my procedure. I agree with the other reviews that greed appears to be an issue. They want payment up front. I have two dental insurances. I had to also paid for an overpriced, 16 second x-ray up front, because they said my insurance wouldn't cover it. My insurance did cover it! Now I can't get a refund from them. In fact I received another bill 2 days after my procedure. The bill did not reflect that I had a $249.00 credit that they refuse to refund until they get payment from BOTH of my insurances. In fact they said I owed them $149.00. I feel that this practice is very unprofessional an inappropriate.

Root canals are never fun and everyone wishes they didn't have one done but sometimes it's unavoidable. Here's my experience with Longview Endodontics. Everyone, from the staff to the tech and Doc Tina was extraordinarily friendly and helpful to answer all my questions and concerns. They explained the treatment course and performed the root canal. Payment was discussed and handled prior to treatment which seems to put some people off but looking at how many patients just bail on the bill I can't blame Longview Endodontics. I want to end this review by expressing my gratitude for fitting me in so quickly and taking good care of me. I thank you. My molar thanks you.

About Pacific Endodontics
Pacific Endodontics operates the Longview Endodontics office at 1801 1st Avenue, Suite 2A in Longview, Washington, one of two locations alongside a sister office in Lake Oswego, Oregon. The practice is limited to endodontics, the specialty focused on saving natural teeth, and its doctors are specialist members of the American Association of Endodontists. Services described on the practice website include root canal treatment, endodontic retreatment, apicoectomy (root-end surgery), care for cracked teeth and traumatic dental injuries, and the GentleWave Ultracleaning procedure. The office also uses cone beam CT scanning, a form of 3D imaging, to help diagnose the source of tooth pain, and offers nitrous oxide for patient comfort.
This practice does not place dental implants. Its stated goal is the opposite: preserving natural teeth through root canal therapy so that implants or bridges can be avoided where possible, and patients typically arrive by referral from their general dentist. The Longview office is open Monday through Thursday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and the practice asks patients with dental emergencies to call before 2 PM for same-day appointments. It serves Longview and nearby Southwest Washington communities including Kelso, West Longview, Longview Heights, Castle Rock, and Rose Valley.

Dr. Bloomfield received her Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of the Pacific in San Francisco in 2000 and earned her Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study in Endodontics from Boston University in 2002.
