Probably THE most thorough, knowledgable surgeon I have ever met. Dr. Cullen takes the patient's whole health into consideration before focusing on the dental issue at hand. Super friendly staff.

Pennsylvania Perio & Implants is a periodontal and dental implant practice with offices in York and Hanover, Pennsylvania. The Hanover office is located at 953 Baltimore Street and is open on Tuesdays from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm and Thursdays from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. The practice focuses on gum care and tooth replacement, and its implant services include single-tooth implants, implant-supported bridges for multiple missing teeth, All-on-4 dental implants, full arch dental implants, snap-in dentures, same-day dental implants, bone grafting to prepare for implants, implant maintenance, and corrective treatment for diseased implants. It also provides gum disease treatment such as scaling and root planing, periodontal maintenance and osseous surgery, along with gum grafting, crown lengthening, gummy smile correction, tooth extraction, socket preservation, guided bone and tissue regeneration, and oral cancer screenings.
The practice describes its approach as conservative and evidence-based, combining traditional techniques with newer methods. Its website notes the use of digital planning with cone beam CT imaging and guided surgery, as well as laser therapy and photobiomodulation to help reduce discomfort and support healing. The office is described as a cottage-style setting with warm lighting intended to feel more like a family home than a clinic. New patients are welcome and no referral is needed, though many patients are referred by their general dentist. The consultation process takes two appointments: a thorough examination with digital imaging and health history review, followed by a one-on-one visit to discuss findings and create a personalized treatment plan. The practice offers dental financing information and serves families across the York and Hanover area.
The practice's periodontist is Dr. Dennis Sourvanos, a periodontal and implant surgeon who completed his periodontal training at the University of Pennsylvania and holds formal training in dentistry and dental hygiene from the University of Southern California. According to the practice's website, he completes more than 200 hours of continuing education each year and combines traditional and newer techniques with a patient-centered approach. Dr. Sourvanos serves both the York and Hanover offices.
