I would like to thank Perio Implant Chicago, Dr. Sheppard, and staff for giving me the best dental treatment I have ever experienced. I had an overgrowth that developed on my gum area. I was sad and worried. My daughter found Perio Implant Chicago and said the reviews were outstanding. All was proven when I seen my results. Dr. Sheppard removed the overgrowth with a laser and it looks like it never happened. I also must mention how well the staff made me feel right at home. The quality of any system is based on how well its parts function together. Well, they say nothing is perfect and I disagree. I’m perfectly happy I went to Perio Implant Chicago and I encourage you to put your trust in them as well. 5 Stars!

My dentist recommended me to Perio Implant Chicago to have a broken tooth removed which could not be saved. I was very nervous, but Dr. Kimberley Sheppard and her staff were outstanding from start to finish. Dr. Sheppard is patient, kind and very understanding. She explained everything before she started and took the time to answer all of my questions without making me feel rushed. She made sure that the whole experience was pain free. She also called to follow up to see how I was doing. Her staff was very efficient, as well, and remembered me the second time I came in.
If you need to have dental work done, including implants, she is the one to call. You won’t be disappointed! She makes an unpleasant procedure nothing to fear.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Sheppard for a more complicated periodontal procedure, and I’ve had a truly excellent experience. From the beginning, she took the time to walk me through all of my options and set very clear expectations, which made the entire process feel much more manageable. Her bedside manner is outstanding-she’s calm, thorough, and genuinely cares about her patients’ comfort.
Appointments are always on time, which I really appreciate, and the entire team is incredibly friendly and welcoming. They create a very positive and professional environment from start to finish.
One thing that really stood out to me is the follow-up care.They check in after procedures to make sure you’re doing well, which shows how much they care beyond just the appointment itself.
As both a patient and someone who refers patients to this office for periodontal care, I feel very confident recommending Dr. Sheppard, Dr. Sabzehei and their team.

I moved to Chicago from Portland, Maine approximately a year ago and have been seeing a periodontist for over thirty years. I highly recommend Perio Implant if you are seeking a periodontist in the Chicago area. Dr. Kimberley Shepperd and the dental hygienist team are excellent in the care they provide and always listen to concerns and explain treatment options specific to the periodontal needs I have. Additionally, I have had to reschedule a couple of appointments and they always provide another time to come in for cleanings so I can keep to my schedule. I feel so fortunate to have found such a competent and caring team at Perio Implant.

I had such an awesome experience with Dr. Sheppard and everyone I interacted with at Perio Implant! I was nervous about getting a gum graft and Dr. Sheppard was outstanding - she was so thorough, knowledgeable, calm, and it felt like she cared about my comfort and treatment plan.

Meet the Doctors

She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and Implant Surgery. She practices alongside Dr. Peter O. Cabrera, DDS, who earned his dental degree from the University of Illinois and completed his periodontics residency at Northwestern University Dental School, and Dr. Kimberly Sheppard, DDS, who earned her degree from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry and completed a residency in Periodontics.
