What an incredible experience! From the moment I walked in the door and was met by a smiling face at the front desk, my entire experience was absolutely “first class”! From the very few minutes that I was in the waiting room, I witnessed each patient being greeted cheerfully and respectfully.
Each patient was called from the comfortable waiting room to examination rooms with a minimum of wait time.
The assistant who kindly escorted me to the exam room was caring, extremely competent and had a great knowledge of my patient history.
I cannot begin to say enough positive things about Dr. Johnson! He is warm
and friendly, as he takes time to get to know his patients. He is caring, a good listener to patient concerns, knowledgeable, upbeat and reassuring !

Dr. Alfred was very straight forward and honest. He didn't recommend services just to be monetized. Even when I sat with Ms. Dawn, she was very realistic in offering assistance helping to think through what was logically necessary!!! Dr. Alfred assistant during my appointment was awesome as well unfortunately I can't remember her name but all the staff was warm and welcoming from the first call of the referral.

I had an exceptional experience at this periodontal practice, starting with scheduling my appointment very quickly. The office is beautiful, spacious, and quite relaxing. The entire team is welcoming and works well together. Kristi (hygienist) truly made me feel comfortable while cleaning my teeth; she gave me helpful pointers (no judgement) on how to improve my home efforts. Dr. Johnson was extremely friendly, professional, and instilled great confidence. I look forward to my next appointment.

Meet the Doctors
The practice is led by two periodontists, Dr. Patrick L. Johnson, DDS, and Dr. Preston S. Alfred, DDS, MS. Dr. Johnson, a Fayetteville native, earned his dental degree from the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry in 1996, completed a general practice residency at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Hampton, Virginia, and received his Certificate in Periodontics from the Medical College of Virginia in 2001. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the North Carolina Dental Society, the American Academy of Periodontology, and the North Carolina Society of Periodontists, and has more than 25 years of experience. Dr. Alfred earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at West Virginia University, then completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry program at the University of Texas School of Dentistry at Houston before specializing in periodontics. He is a board certified periodontist whose research interests center on dental implants and the factors that improve their success, and he is a member of the American Academy of Periodontology.
