I've been a patient of Dr. Rahim for ten years. The fact that I live two hours away is some measure of my esteem for his work. I have found him to be courteous, patient and thorough and I've been very pleased with the results. My dental hygienist, Wendy, has been great. I highly recommend this group.

Dr. Rahim is the worst dentist that I've ever been to in my 67 years. I had to endure 2 molar extractions, sinus surgery, two bone marrow transplants, and an implant all as a result of a routine crown that Dr. Rahim said I needed in a molar (for which I had had no pain or discomfort). During my appointment to get the temporary crown, my mouth was propped open for 1 hour and 45 minutes while Dr. Rahim jockeyed between patients in other treatment rooms. I left that day with a temporary crown, went back to work, and about an hour later when the painkiller wore off, the pain was extreme. I called the office the Monday morning after the procedure to say that my face was bruised and that I had been in continuous pain; I was told that Dr. Rahim would see me that Wednesday on my previously scheduled follow-up and not before. When I saw Dr. Rahim on that Wednesday, the crown was adjusted. I was told it should help with the pain and that I needed to wait three weeks for the permanent crown due to the ‘trauma’ in my mouth. There was no reason that this trauma would have occurred, other than due to malpractice on the part of Dr. Rahim and his staff. When the permanent crown was put in the pain diminished a little, but never went away. I was scared to go back to Dr. Rahim, so I went to another dentist and was told that due to whatever trauma had happened at Dr. Rahim’s hands, the crowned tooth, as well as the molar immediately next to it (which had been a perfectly good tooth!), were ‘resorping’ (“a process where the body's cells break down and absorb the hard tissues of a tooth, such as the cementum, dentin, and enamel”) and would likely need to be extracted. I was directed to get a CBCT scan to confirm this diagnosis; the diagnosis was confirmed unequivocally. Over the next 17 months, I had to endure the aforementioned 2 extractions, sinus surgery, two bone marrow transplants, and 1 implant instead of 2, as I was told that the implant in other molar might not be able to be successful due to the position of my sinus and a questionable bone base at that point (so I have to live with a gaping hole where the molar once was). All in all, I experienced tremendous pain, lifelong discomfort, and a price tag of more than $15K for what should have been a simple crown that I probably didn’t even need.

Moe is an excellent hygienist. He spent enough time with me to explain what I needed and how we were going to get it done. He worked with my insurance company and with me to feel comfortable financially. Thank you 😊

I have been seeing Dr Rahim since we moved to Peterborough 5 years ago and am so impressed with him and his team. On a Saturday afternoon recently I had a crown break. I called the emergency number and Dr Rahim called back within 15 minutes. Amazingly he was in the office for an emergency and told me to come right in. Due to the state-of-the-art equipment they have in the office, he was able to replicate the tooth and within an hour I had a new crown - permanent (not temporary) at no charge. His assistant was wonderful – but I could say this about their entire staff. I highly recommend this practice!!

The staff? Excellent. Hygienists? Friendly, great at their jobs. Dr? Answered all my questions, presently factually and realistically all of my options going forward, I look forward to working with them in the future as a new patient now.
