I am so grateful for this dental office. I’ve been coming here for years and the care has always been exceptional. The entire team is kind, patient, and truly makes you feel comfortable from the moment you walk in. They take the time to explain everything and never make you feel rushed. After hearing so many horror stories about dentists, I can honestly say I feel lucky to have found a practice I completely trust. Highly recommend!

My experience here was outstanding from start to finish. I hadn’t been seen here before and needed an urgent repair. They took my situation seriously and managed to fit me in same day. Every staff member I interacted with was so lovely, and Dr. Roberts was wonderful. The space is gorgeous too, and unlike any other dentist office. Highly recommend!

As someone who has spent half his life hearing from dentists who make things sound and feel hopeless, Philly Smiles has been a breath of fresh air. The environment is calm, relaxing, and well-kept, the FOH staff are all always on top of things, always kind and understanding, and always seem to be right up-to-speed with everything. And the whole care team there is amazing. Dr. Hauser has been my dentist and I cannot sing her praises enough. She looks out for her patients without judgement or shame, is easy to share concerns with, and takes my input, situations, and needs into account when making recommendations. All the work that her and her team have done has been stellar and has never been compromised or needed follow-up. Cannot recommend this place enough.

This was my first visit, and it’s safe to say I’ve found my go-to dentist. Exceptional service, with a kind, upbeat, and welcoming staff. The experience was so comfortable I nearly fell asleep.

About Phillysmiles

Philly Smiles is a private, fee-for-service dental practice located in the historic Frank Furness building at 1804 Rittenhouse Square in Philadelphia, serving patients in the Rittenhouse Square and Fitler Square area. The practice has been in this Center City location for more than thirty years and offers a full range of general, cosmetic, and restorative dentistry alongside surgical and periodontal services, including dental implants for patients missing one or more teeth.

For patients considering implants, Philly Smiles offers options ranging from single tooth replacement to full arch solutions, guiding patients through planning, placement, and final restoration with a crown, bridge, or denture anchored to the implant. The office describes itself as a small, dedicated team rather than a corporate clinic, and highlights a comfort focused approach along with technology such as digital scanning and laser dentistry. Patients researching implants in the Rittenhouse Square or Center City area can expect a practice that emphasizes long term doctor patient relationships and clear, unhurried explanations of treatment options.

Meet the Doctors

Philly Smiles is led by a team of three dentists. Dr. Joseph Roberts, DDS, FAGD, has over 30 years of experience and focuses on cosmetic dentistry, dental implants, and full mouth reconstruction. He has been recognized as a Top Cosmetic Dentist by Philadelphia Magazine for many years and has lectured on dental implants and digital imaging. Dr. Shruti Tewari, DMD, MBS, FAGD, is known for a calming, patient centered approach, especially with patients who feel nervous about dental visits, and she focuses on restorative dentistry, laser therapy, and cosmetic care. Dr. Sheena Hauser, DDS, joined the practice in 2020 after many years practicing in the Philadelphia suburbs and provides general dentistry with a focus on clear communication, Invisalign, and comfortable, technology driven care.
