What can I share that hasn't already been stated?
To cut to the chase: 5 stars
Pertinent details:
I was referred to Pittsburgh Oral Surgery by my dentist to have 3 molars extracted. At my consultation, I received an x-ray and thorough review of my jaw and teeth, and it was observed that my bone health would permit a simultaneous extraction + implant. Furthermore, I had a prior tooth extracted with no graft, but it was healed enough to permit an implant there too, so that gap could get closed in my front bridge.
Awesome! Only issue was at the time I lacked dental insurance. Dr. Hartman quickly went to work and was able to set up for an arrangement to help reduce the overall costs of the procedure.
In the time after my consultation, I ended up in a position where I now had dental insurance. Great! Called up the front office, explained the situation, and they re-processed the treatment plan. Got a date set, crossed t's and dotted i's.
Today was the day of my procedure. I walked in and Dr. Hartman and his staff quickly got to work. The procedure may have only taken about an hour, but it was a calm time and I experienced absolutely no distress.
Recovery was a breeze! I was pretty much able to walk unassisted into recovery, sat around for 15 minutes as I came to, and then was discharged. Went to the pharmacy where my prescription was all ready for pickup, and now I'm back at home on the mend.

What a screw up! I wanted to be happy with this place based on all the reviews. I had a perfectly scheduled consultation appointment for wisdom teeth removal. The office called me 4 weeks after making the appointment and said they will need me to reschedule. the dentist has to attend a conference!! Now I have to find a new dentist and fit in appointments with my 20 year old college student who is only available one week in March. So they pulled her appointment and now I can’t easily find someone new that fits into the only free week I have and it’s only 3 weeks away. So thanks for nothing and putting my way behind schedule

What an amazing place. From the moment I called till the completion of my dental work, everything and everyone were simply amazing. The offices are clean, the staff is courteous and professional and the care was excellent. Truly a wonderful experience! I highly recommend them to anyone in need of dental care.

My experience at this facility was great. Everyone was friendly and pleasant. The staff was informative and thorough. Dr. Smiga was very professional, explained the procedure thoroughly and made me feel so at ease. Our conversations were friendly and relaxed and his actions were spot on thus delivering the optimal results. I would recommend this location to anyone needing the specialized services they provide. Thanks to all.

The absolute Best experience with Pittsburgh Oral Surgical staff in the south hills and especially Dr Eric Smiga!
Took the time to explain everything in detail- made sure our daughter was well taken care of before during and after her oral surgery! Extremely responsive and attentive staff and very pleasant! Made the whole process so easy and relaxing for us and especially for my daughter! Even called us late that evening to check up on her!!
Cannot recommend Dr Smiga and his staff enough for wisdom tooth surgery and all your oral surgery needs! Simply THE BEST!
