I’m really impressed with my experience at Pontchartrain Dental. From the moment I called to make the appointment, then walked in, the staff was welcoming, friendly, and professional. The hygienist was extremely knowledgeable and took the time to explain everything that was going on with my dental concerns in a way that was easy to understand. What stood out to me the most was how much they genuinely cared. I was originally scheduled for a follow-up appointment later on, but they actually called me back and offered me an earlier opening. That meant a lot to me and showed that they truly value their patients and their time. The level of care and attention I received made me feel comfortable and appreciated. Definitely glad I chose them for my dental care. Highly recommend!

Wow!! This has to be the best experience ever at the dentist office. The staff is friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and they made me feel like family. I was looking for a new Dentist closer to home, “found it”. Tracey made sure I was comfortable throughout the whole procedure explaining every step and what to expect. This is best in class and look forward to my next visit.

I was taken back quickly, had a nice personable introduction with the hygienist. She asked questions and took time to learn about my dental health. Michelle explained everything told me what was going to happen before she did anything. She checked on me throughout the cleaning to make sure I was ok.

I just moved from Houston where I had had a wonderful relationship for 35 years with my Dentist and was hoping to find someone just as knowledgeable and easy to work with and I know I found them with Ponchatrain Dental. The hygienist, Tracey, was so knowledgeable and taught me how to brush my teeth better in the back! No one had ever shown me that. And my new Dentist, Dr. Deacon was wonderful to talk to. Thank you for everything!

Pontchartrain Dental's Hammond office, formerly known as Deep South Dental, offers dental implant solutions for patients missing one or more teeth, including All-on-4 and full-arch treatment options. The practice describes implants as a solution for replacing missing teeth, and patients can have this and other dental needs handled under one roof without frequently needing outside referrals.
As part of the larger Pontchartrain Dental family of offices in Louisiana, the Hammond location keeps the same ownership and team that patients knew as Deep South Dental, now under a new name. The practice describes its approach as combining thorough dental care with a warm, personal, hospitality-focused patient experience for people considering treatments like dental implants.
The practice's clinical team includes Dr. Jason S. Chawla, DMD, Dr. Atticus Deacon, DMD, Dr. Serena Jones, DDS, and Dr. Joseph Nasworthy, DMD. Dr. Jones is noted to have practiced at a dental office in Hammond before joining the Pontchartrain Dental team. The website does not specify which doctors are assigned to each of the practice's Mandeville, Slidell, or Hammond locations.
