I highly recommend this office. My husband and I have been going here for years to see Dr. Matthews and have been satisfied with the transition as he is now retired. You cannot find a better staff anywhere.

Dr. Kelch aka Sam and staff are so caring. I feel like I'm visiting with my family. Very kind and concerned about you as a patient. I will never go to another dentist. I drive an hour for my appointments. I can't say enough good things about everyone there.

My entire family has been coming here since 2007. Staff are always friendly and professional, and Dr. Mathews has always been very capable with a variety of services from regular checkups to crowns to even the occasional root canal. Hope he never retires!

Dr Matthews is excellent. He is very gentle and patient. I appreciate that he takes the time to explain what procedures I may need and takes the time for questions and concerns. He has an overall wonderful chairside manner! Suzie and Ruthie ,the hygienists, actually make getting your teeth cleaned a fun experience! Everyone in the office is friendly, helpful, and professional. I highly recommend Riverwalk Denistry. If it's been awhile since you've been to the denists or have fears of the chair, this is the office for you.

Riverwalk Dental is a locally and family-owned dental clinic at 530 West Union Street in Athens, Ohio, serving patients throughout Athens and the surrounding counties. The practice offers a range of services that includes dental implant placement and restoration, root canals, extractions, crowns and bridges, veneers, dentures, cosmetic dentistry, dental appliances and Invisalign, and preventive care such as cleanings, fluoride treatment, fillings, and sealants. For patients considering implants, the office advertises free consultations for all implants and uses digital radiography with both two-dimensional and three-dimensional cone beam imaging.
The clinic also provides emergency dental treatment and family dentistry for adults and children, and it is accepting new patients. The team creates a personalized treatment plan based on each patient's specific dental needs and budget, and the office accepts CareCredit financing. Riverwalk Dental is led by Dr. Sam Kelch, DDS. Dr. Kelch was raised in Parkersburg, West Virginia, earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Marshall University as a Yeager Scholar, and received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the West Virginia University School of Dentistry, where he served on the student board of ethics. He is a member of the American Dental Association and the Ohio Dental Association and is currently pursuing a Fellowship with the Academy of General Dentistry. He is supported by hygienists Suzie and Ruthie and dental assistant Linda.
