Dr Santiago was 20 minutes late for the appointment while we unable to find the entrance to the building. Luckily the receptionist was helpful in directing us. The periodontal check was satisfactory. He explained throughly offering several good options. Staff members were friendly.

I went to this office for a dental implant with Dr. Steve. During my first visit, no fees were ever discussed — I was simply told to come back in a week to get a temporary flipper and that the implant would be done in a few months. When I returned, I was shocked to learn the flipper cost over $1,000, and after insurance and a discount, I had to pay $365 out-of-pocket.
I asked for a written breakdown of the upcoming procedure costs, but it was never provided. Later, after losing the flipper, I was told I would have to pay full price for a replacement. There was a complete lack of transparency about pricing, which is unacceptable for major procedures like implants.

The staff was very friendly and profesional
Dr. Tsang was great. He explained to me what he was going to do. He made sure the area was numb before he started .There was no pain during the procedure.

My experience was very good. The hygienist explained everything she did and helped me find problems with my teeth and how to fix them. I definitely recommend Roots and Gums.

Everything about this office was top-notch. It begins with a world-class automated messaging system to remind me about appointments. The location at E. Stanley Blvd, Livermore was easy to find and there was plenty of parking in their lot.
The office staff was super friendly and helpful, going out of their way to help me save money by finding the best way to handle the billing with my dental insurance. I spent my time in the waiting area playing fetch with their cute puppy, rescued from abandonment, who was so full of love, joy, and snuggles it made me forget about the upcoming dental appointment!
Harley Willam, DMD, was wonderful. She diagnosed my periodontal issue quickly and worked out practical solutions, all with clear communications supplemented by visual aides so I could understand the problems and the proposed solutions.
