I arrived at 7:45 AM to be met by a very courteous and energetic staff. I was ushered through the normal forms and preop photos by Kim, who is extremely nice to me which allowed me to relax for the upcoming procedure. X Rays and instructions were given to me and I was positioned in the operating chair. I was introduced to Dr. Taylor who is very kind and confident which allowed me to relax in about 15 to 20 minutes I had a tooth extracted and was given my postop instructions. A brief stop at billing and out the door by 9:30. I give this five stars and thank the staff and Dr. Taylor for a job well done ……more than I could’ve asked for !!! I now need an aspirin and a Nap because my tongue has worn me out chasing that stitch !!! My heartfelt thanks to Dr. Taylor and his very courteous staff!!!

From the moment I walked in I knew this place was a problem, staff was rude about paperwork which I already completed and sent via email. Estrin. Moved down from Tampa so was looking for a closer perio. Of course I had to do a consult appointment before setting up with alternate cleanings (same arrangement I had at my perio in Tampa) $$$. Of course they wanted to take their own x rays even though I offered to provide recent x rays and my insurance wouldn’t cover new ones $$$. Of course they redo the perio chart and give higher numbers than the one I just had done in Tampa at my perio and higher than the primary dentist one done the week prior. Ultimately refused to do my alternate cleanings because I didn’t want expensive treatments they tried to upsell me on. All this places cares about is getting paid $$$$. Better off elsewhere.

Dr. Estrin is amazing! Great bedside manner, kind, professional, and patient. Had a crown removed and a bone graft; I was in and out in 45 minutes. Kim was a wonderful assistant, and explained thoroughly all my aftercare instructions. I cannot recommend this practice highly enough.

Today, I was so nervous but Dr. Hawkins was gentle with iv placement & heard my concerns about my needle phobia. I was out like a light after 60 seconds as the iv push drug mixed with the iv fluid into vein. It was so smooth and better than an average dental filling. It was a lovely nap. I am fresh from 3 wisdoms & 1 molar surgery & I feel well. If anything goes wrong i have confidence in my surgeon to resolve the issue. He was so sweet and knowledgeable. Thank you for having the knowledge and tools to guide me to optimal dental health. Great bedside manner & board certified knowledge!

About Ryan C. Taylor Periodontics & Dental Implants
Ryan C. Taylor Periodontics & Dental Implants is a specialty periodontal and dental implant practice on Clark Road in Sarasota, Florida. Dr. Ryan C. Taylor, a periodontist, founded the practice in 2004 after completing his dental degree, master's degree, and three years of periodontal residency training at The Ohio State University College of Dentistry. The office focuses on the surgical side of implant dentistry, including single dental implants, implant-supported dentures, full-arch treatment such as All-on-4, and same-day options the practice calls Teeth-in-a-Day.
Beyond implants, the practice treats gum disease and related conditions with procedures such as scaling and root planing, bone and gum grafting, sinus lifts, and osseous surgery, and it offers LANAP, a laser-based treatment for gum disease that avoids traditional cutting and stitches. Multiple sedation options are available for patients who feel anxious about surgery, and the team uses digital imaging to plan treatment. Patients in Sarasota and the surrounding Gulf Coast communities are typically referred here by their general dentist for specialist care, then return to that dentist for the finished crown or denture.
