The providers in this office are very good; however, the front office is poorly run.
I specifically want to say that the doctors providing the dental services in this office were excellent, professional and provided wonderful care. However, my experiences with the office staff (billing) was extremely poor and expensive.
Before my first appointment I visited the clinic in person to confirm both the location of the clinic and that my primary doctor who was listed as my provider on my schedule would be in-network with my insurance. The staff verified all of my appointments, including my coverage being acceptable. Unfortunately, neither the staff disclosed that my original doctor was no longer working at the clinic or informed me that the entire clinic was no longer part of my insurance network. I received an evaluation under what I believe to be false pretenses and had additional out-of-network charges.
At the time of my second appointment, the staff acknowledged their miscommunication and offered to correct the charge for that particular visit to be charged at an “in-network” rate. Although I am grateful for them acknowledging their mistake, even at an “in-network” rate, I will still have significantly more out of pocket for that visit compared to if my normal terms of insurance coverage. Additionally, they have refused to address my bill for the initial evaluation visit which I would never have consented to if they had been transparent initially.
While I feel that the Clinical Team deserves Five Stars, I do not feel confident enough to award the Front Office More Than one Star Due to their failure to provide adequate transparency and communication with regards to departing providers and network changes I would recommend that anyone looking for a new provider and has specific insurance needs, should contact your insurance company directly to confirm all details before trusting anything that the staff tell you.
Edit.. As expected after publicly posting to expect a follow up there has been no contact to work out a resolution. The doctors while wonderful are hindered by the remainder of the staff leading to a terrible experience full of misinformation and apathy.

I have been a patient here for close to 20 years, dating back to when it was Gentle Dental and Dr. Roy was present and saw his patients. Slowly over the past several years since they became Saco River Dentistry and Dr. Roy became less and less involved, they have gone downhill. I used to get my teeth cleaned every 3 mos, but they can't even manage twice a year for the patient load they now have with the amount of staff they have. Every 2nd or 3rd cleaning there is yet another new hygienist. Must not be a good place to work since so many leave. Today the new person told me that "legally" I HAD to consent to x-rays, which were not warranted. I've never had a cavity in my life and have no complaints - was just there for an overdue cleaning due to their own scheduling and staffing issues. She told me she was getting a doctor and took 20 min to return. My routine cleaning appt should have been wrapping up by this point. Dr. Reagan was polite and agreed with me that I am at very low risk given my history and don't need x-rays but since it's their policy he would have to discuss with management and unless I consented to a treatment I did not want (the unnecessary x-rays) they would not be able to go through with my cleaning appt. I made the decision to leave and find a new dentist, which I did in under 20 minutes. This has been a long time coming.

I love this office. I drive hours just to come here. Dr. Reagan does such an incredible job, I have never felt comfortable in a dentist chair until I sat in his. He is so kind and personable. Sam is a one of a kind dental assistant. The way she listens and speaks to people makes you feel like she's your friend and not just your dentist. They are both so realistic with their recommendations and approach. The two of them did an incredible job on my smile, worked together so well, and I am so happy leaving their office. Give them both a raise. Thank you for what you do!

Dr. Bryant created a splint/night guard for my TMJ which has provided amazing results!! His fine-tuning adjustments enhance proper alignment of my jaw! I’m so grateful to be pain-free! Thank you for your skill and patience.

Dr Mender and Luci were fantastic for my filling. I have never had such a great experience when having a filling done. I didn't even feel the needle when she did the numbing and for once half my face wasn't completely numb, just the area they needed to work on. Everyone there is always pleasant and for once I don't mind going to the dentist!
