About San Diego Periodontics & Implant Dentistry

San Diego Periodontics & Implant Dentistry is a periodontal practice located on Fourth Avenue in San Diego's Hillcrest area, serving patients throughout the city and nearby communities such as La Jolla, Del Mar, Carmel Valley, Mission Hills, Point Loma, and Sunset Cliffs. The practice focuses on treating the gums and supporting bone, and offers dental implant solutions for patients who have lost one or more teeth, including full-arch and All-on-4 style treatment for people who need to replace an entire row of teeth. Because implants are closely tied to the health of the gums and jawbone, having a periodontist involved in planning and placing them is meant to give patients a more complete approach to long-term implant success.

In addition to implant placement, the practice provides treatment for gum disease and gum recession, including laser-based gum disease treatment and a minimally invasive technique for treating receding gums. The team coordinates care with each patient's general dentist throughout treatment and afterward, so restorations and long-term maintenance stay connected to the patient's overall dental plan. The office also notes that staff speak Cantonese, Mandarin Chinese, Spanish, Taiwanese, and Vietnamese, which can make communication easier for patients who prefer one of those languages.
