I had a tooth extraction scheduled with Sandhills Oral Surgery this past July. From the initial phone call with Ms. Jaleah, the procedure with Dr. Jones, and the post op surgery follow- up, absolutely everything about this experience was exceptional. Jaleah was so courteous and professional on the phone and she provided me with everything up front so I could complete the paperwork prior to my scheduled procedure. The consult with Dr. Jones and his wonderful staff was superb and Dr. Jones was pin-point accurate on how long the procedure would take to complete the oral surgery. I would highly recommend this amazing dentist and his awesome staff for any of your future dental needs.

From the initial consult with Dr. Jones to get my wisdom teeth removed , I was impressed. He sets the bar on what it is like to receive quality care . He’s compassionate, kind and answers any questions you have. If every provider was like this , the world would be a better place. His staff is amazing! I would recommend him to anyone! He is the best… point blank period! I’ve never experienced the level of care anywhere that I did here. Thanks Dr. Jones to you and your staff!

Dr.Duval and her team are amazing and they’re the absolute best!!. I normally get very nervous before any type of dental procedure especially when needles are involved and I got a gingivectomy so my nerves were especially through the roof but Dr.Duval explained the process in great detail and informed me the procedure would be easy and God knows it was. She got me all the way right and I highly recommend:)

Thank you to Dr. Karlen and his assistant Sabrina for making my experience smooth and comfortable during my procedure. Thank you for having great bedside manners,your compassion to ensuring that there was as less pain as possible. My fear and anxiety level was very high upon my arrival, due to my previous experience for the same procedure with another doctor in another facility.
My experience from the front desk to getting the procedure scheduled and done was awesome. Thank all of you for your professionalism, kindness and thoughtfulness.

Great crew. Dr. Jones has provided oral surgical care for my entire family. He is technically gifted and also engages personally with his patients. I'm grateful that he has remained an independent practice that has resisted the homogenization of the healthcare system by private equity/venture capital. He operates his practice the way he determines best for his patients. The quality of the experience was exceptional.

Sandhills Oral Surgery, Periodontics & Dental Implant Specialists is a multi-specialty surgical practice at 3011 Boone Trail Extension in Fayetteville, North Carolina. The practice was founded in 2008 by Dr. Gary T. Jones and the late Dr. Gerald Beatty, two surgeons who served in the U.S. military before entering private practice. According to the practice, every doctor on staff is a specialist who completed several years of additional training and is board certified by a national organization recognized by the American Dental Association. Oral surgeons and periodontists work together under one roof, and the practice serves patients from Fayetteville, Spring Lake, Hope Mills, Lumberton, Elizabethtown, Southern Pines and surrounding communities.
Dental implants are a central focus of the practice, with services that include single and full mouth dental implants, implant supported dentures, same day dental implants, and robot assisted implant placement using the Yomi robotic system. Oral surgery services include wisdom teeth removal, tooth extractions, bone grafting, facial trauma care, pre-prosthetic surgery, oral pathology, platelet rich plasma, frenectomy, exposure of impacted teeth, and apicoectomy. Meet the Doctors
The practice is led by Dr. Gary T. Jones, DMD, a board certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon and the practice owner. Dr. Jones graduated summa cum laude from the University of Pittsburgh, earned his dental degree at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine, and completed his oral and maxillofacial surgery residency at the Medical College of Virginia. He came to Fayetteville through service in the U.S. Army as a staff surgeon at Womack Army Medical Center at Fort Bragg, where he received the Meritorious Service Medal. He focuses on jaw reconstructive surgery and implant dentistry, lectures on implant dentistry, founded the Fayetteville Implant Dentistry Study Club and the Central Carolina Dental Continuum, and serves as an Adjunct Professor at Virginia Commonwealth University. Dr. Joshua Paul Berridge, DMD, MS, is a periodontist who is board certified in periodontal and implant surgery. He earned his dental degree at the University of Louisville School of Dentistry, completed a one year Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency and a three year residency in periodontal and implant surgery, holds a master's degree in oral biology, has published journal articles on dental implant surgery, and serves as an Adjunct Professor at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Dr. Rachel Duval, DDS, MS, is a periodontist who earned her dental degree from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry in 2017, a master's degree in oral biology from the Uniformed Services University in 2022, and her periodontology certificate through the U.S. Army Advanced Education in Periodontics Program at Fort Gordon in 2023. She focuses on regenerative procedures, cosmetic gum surgery, periodontal laser therapy, and dental implant placement, is certified in the LANAP laser gum treatment protocol, and is trained in sedation dentistry including intravenous sedation.
