I was a patient at Santa Fe Modern Dentistry and remained with the practice because I had previously received good care. In recent visits, I experienced multiple appointment cancellations, noticeable staff turnover, and unprofessional front desk interactions. On one occasion, I arrived for a scheduled appointment and was told it had been canceled. When I explained that I was dealing with a dental emergency, the receptionist was demeaning and dismissive. I also observed front desk conversations that were gossipy and audible in the waiting room. I've seen patient information displayed on computer screens in a way that allowed me to see their ages, procedures and appointment times. This is considered a HIPAA violation. Because of these experiences, I have decided not to return. I have shared my concerns with the office manager, Monique, who listened and said she is working on improvements.

Al want is to make money. I asked to get a cleaning. I had good insurance and I called my insurance and they said yeah I could get cleaning. The doctor said it wasn’t even worse me getting a cleaning.. We’ll never come here again, The only care about how much money they can make!!

I had my cleaning cancelled twice, once in November and just today. Both times I was told there wasn't a hygienist available. First time they cancelled they could not book me any earlier than 5 months out. This time they just put me on a waiting list. I used to have great experiences here. Hopefully they can get back on track.

I went to Modern Dentistry for an initial exam. I asked what it would cost to pay for the visit without their membership, because I had no intention of returning. I was told the amount of approximately $65, which I paid at the time of service. I was later shocked to receive an itemized bill totaling $872 for the initial exam. I attempted to contact the office multiple times through their online portal and website email to clarify the charge, but did not receive a response. They sent the balance to collections. I maintain excellent credit and have no outstanding debt, and am now dealing with the collection agency. Make a wise choice, go elsewhere.

Courtney & Dr. Ryals are personable, professional & compassionate. They do a thorough exam & cleaning.
