Dr. Kalpana & her team are amazing! A dental emergency led me to their office; I was quickly booked in when I shared what was going on. Dr. Kalpana delivers a quality service; thorough in her treatment plan, explanation, and even stayed a bit past office hours to make sure I was taken care of that day in hopes of best prognosis. Both herself & her staff made me as comfortable as they could, everyone is kind & friendly. They offer reasonable plans outside of insurance if you do not have benefits & flexible payment plans within working with insurance. Thank you for restoring health & peace of mind behind my smile!

My first interaction with Scottsdale Dental Care with Destiny while scheduling my appointment! Destiny was warm, kind, informative and eager to assist me! Next, Manny, the dental assistant, helped me get settled in and took x-rays. I must say, x-rays have always been my least favorite part of the dental visits. However, Manny made it quicker and more comfortable than I have ever experienced before! (Bonus points for great conversation skills!) Now the final reveal, Dr. Kalpana is extremely knowledgeable, attentive, detail-oriented, and wants to make sure that you understand what is going on with your teeth. Dr K walked me through my treatment plan answering all of my questions with detail, enthusiasm, and passion. Dr.K ensured that I was comfortable during my fillings and deep cleaning and did check ins often. At the first sign of discomfort she would stop and check in, which was greatly appreciated. I also liked how Dr.K did both my deep cleaning and fillings, it’s rare for a dentist to do your deep cleaning and I deeply appreciated the fact that I got to experience that. It was like a walk in the park! Usually, I leave the dentist with the chest napkin covered in blood and when I left this appointment I did not see ONE drop!!! Would recommend! 1000/10 :) I will be coming back again and again and again! Thank you so much!!!

A true nightmare. I do NOT recommend this place to anyone. Do not give them your money. First red flag I shouldn’t have ignored was that they made me pay a “deposit” of $270 before I even was even seen. I then showed him my dental plan discount card & said he needed to call them to find out what my plan was. Eventually he told me that they don’t accept this but as a courtesy, he will honor the discount. I’m confused why now they don’t accept it when I found this practice from the dental plan website. After that was over, he promoted me to pay, still before service, & told me that it would be $270 as this was with the discount even though how could it be if he didn’t know I had that card originally? Then while I was in the exam room I felt extremely uncomfortable. They took about 10 X-rays and a few photos of my teeth and then Dr. Pandya came in and did the exam & cleaning. During the exam I felt like all they could think about was “how much money can I get from her?” She told me I had 8 cavities to be filled costing me $2100, but $1600 with this discount which was a “great price.” I asked to not continue that day so I could talk to my dad and get a second opinion & she persisted that we start that day. I kept my ground and said no because it felt so wrong. She kept fear mongering me to start sooner even when I mentioned possibly waiting 3 months for my dental insurance. The entire interaction made me feel like they truly did not care about me, and just wanted to get as much money as they could out of me. Even when it came to the actual cleaning itself, I felt they were annoyed with my presence & had to check if I paid for certain things first (like fluoride treatment) before they did it, which they didn’t do anyway. Then keep the issue of me trying to get my x-rays sent to another dental office. I called and emailed and back-and-forth a few times. At first they sent me screenshots of the photos they took in my x-rays itself. I sent this to the dental office that I would be switching to and they told me they can’t take screenshots. It needs to be an actual PDF for them to be able to utilize it. Then I had to get a patient release form signed, no big deal. I signed it and sent it back same day and they never sent my x-rays to the new office. I called and called, no response. I even went to their office during their open hours, and the doors were locked. Finally, I got a hold of somebody 5 days later and she told me that how the x-rays download off of their program is via a picture (png) not a PDF. At that point I was already over the situation, had gone to the new office and got new x-rays (for way cheaper too) because it was easier to just avoid this company altogether. I’ve never in my life, felt so uncomfortable to be around a group of people and feel like I’m being taken advantage of. Do not waste your time at this office. They nickel & dime and honestly just treat you like you’re less than.

This is the best dentist I’ve ever been to. They’re so attentive, friendly, remember you and seem to care about your well-being. I hadn’t had a dental cleaning in 10+ years and was pretty nervous to get a more invasive deeper cleaning but they made it so easy. The dentists, hygienists, assistants and administrative staff explain everything and they accept reasonable payment plans for more expensive work. Their office is clean and they’re always playing soft music - the energy is positive and light but the staff is the best part. Highly recommend this place to anyone

Attempted to switch into to this particular one, Great staff, great experience But I would never deal with their billing or insurance system again because they do not have anything put together. I understand being a new practice and everything.
