I was referred here several times and I never did go because I heard so many negative comments about this place so I decided to give it a try and it was nothing like the way they described it. Dr. Lawhon was very pleasant and professional and upfront on my consult. He told me everything that must be done for my procedure and his dental assistant TAMIKA was such a sweetheart she assured me that she will take good care of me during my visit there. I suffer from anxiety and she made me feel very comfortable and secure as if I had known her for a very long time. You will know her when you see her she has one of the most beautiful smiles. I give this place 2 thumbs up I highly recommend this place for any of your oral surgery needs.

Had a appointment back in June for a lump in my mouth that my dentist found. Was told by the doctor here he wanted it to be sent off to have a biopsy. Cost me $1500 out of pocket since my insurance doesn't cover this type of procedure. 2 months later I'm still getting bills from the hospital in Charleston where the lump was sent off to. I thought the $1500 was supposed to include everything. Not very up front with the pricing. Also had to wait 2 hours in the waiting room for my consultation appointment & another hour for my surgery appointment even though I was called each time to come in earlier. Very unprofessional. Won't be back. Should've read the reviews before coming here instead of going where my dentist referred me. Lesson learned.

I was absolutely happy with the oral surgeon and clinical staff, but I had (4) extractions in January and the office has had significant challenges with the claims processing via my dental insurance. I have now received assistance from staff, and corresponded directly with Dr. Lawhon which I have greatly appreciated. The office has a new policy for patients submit claims directly to insurance. This will likely alleviate issues moving forward with several insurance companies throughout multiple states and insurance will respond and remit payment directly to the patients.

Moved to the inlet about 2 years ago. Went for some work somewhere else but took and long time to finish the process. I was sent somewhere else again but again it was going to take so long to get in. I called seaside on my own and explained to the receptionist that my job wasn’t that flexible. She asked if I had a day off and i told her I did. She said well what the doctor will probably do is see you and try to work you in the same day if it’s possible depending on what you need done. Saw the Doctor, nice guy, made me feel at ease and I actually laughed when he calmed me down. Had the surgery the same day and he didn’t hurt me. I could tell this guy grew up blue collar. He knew that me being there not only cost me money for my tooth but it cost me money because I was missing work. I would highly recommend him because he seemed down to earth. Thanks to everyone at this office.

Run away or wait to get in another surgery center. Seriously to much to put in one review. We had to pay 4500.00 dollars out of our pocket. To have the remaining 17 teeth. This center was out of net work. All good we knew that. This was in March 20th. Took over 4 months to get and ICD number. This allowed us to get a reimbursement from our medical insurance. The office people witch was many. Accused us of try to commit insurance fraud. No less that 27 phone calls to get the number. Finally had to call our attorney. The medical side was fine, doctor,way it was done, all fine. The office side was a nightmare. If they are not in network run. We said the medical aspect was good. Surgery was successful. The problem we had was the office. Getting the ICD number. Our insurance company needed that. AND THE OFFICE REFUSED TO GIVE IT TO US. TOOK 4 MONTHS TO GET IT! THIS REVIEW IS HONEST!!
