Dr Tse is the best. I am terrified of teeth issues and he always takes his time with me and explains things to me in a calm manner and it truly helps. So glad I switched to him years ago!

I’ve been looking for a new dentist for a while, and I have finally found the one! Dr. Tse and the whole staff were friendly, professional, and so helpful with any questions I had. I highly recommend them.

So happy to have found such a wonderful dental practice! Dr. Tse is knowledgeable and friendly - he did an amazing job on my filling. The hygienists at the practice are also kind, efficient, and patient with a somewhat nervous patient! My husband and I look forward to returning to Short Pump Family Dentistry for all our dental needs!

Dr. Tse and the team are very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. On my first visit he was able to fix a dental issue I was having from a prior dentist and he explained everything to me. I was instantly relieved of the pain and sensitivity I had been experiencing! I highly recommend!

Meet the Doctors
Dr. Yun "David" Tse, Doctor of Dental Surgery, leads Short Pump Family Dentistry and is the practice's dentist. He graduated with honors from Virginia Tech in 2002 with a bachelor's degree in biology and earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry in Richmond in 2006. Early in his career he practiced in San Francisco, including providing dental care to low-income families in the Chinatown community, before returning to Richmond. He is an active member of the Academy of General Dentistry and the International Dental Implant Association, and he emphasizes continuing education and patient advocacy.
