I was an absolute nervous wreck walking into my surgery. I’ve never been a fan of the dentist, but from the moment I arrived, the entire team at Siouxland Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery made me feel comfortable and cared for.
The receptionist was incredibly kind and welcoming, with a calm and caring attitude that immediately helped ease my nerves. As I was taken back, the staff member assisting me was amazing. Unfortunately, I was so nervous that names didn’t stick, but she patiently answered all of my questions, explained everything in a way that was easy to understand, and helped keep me calm throughout the process.
When Dr. Miller came in, I was still very anxious. I had seen some reviews mentioning that he wasn’t particularly bubbly, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. However, my experience was completely positive. He recognized how nervous I was and was both respectful and understanding. He gave me the option to either walk through the entire procedure or simply get started so I could get it over with—whatever made me most comfortable. Before the anesthesia, we had a brief conversation, and then he reassured me that he was about to give me the medication I had been waiting for so I could finally relax.
The care I received truly changed my perspective. Every member of the team treated me with kindness, professionalism, and compassion. I had nine teeth removed, and as I write this the day after surgery, I have virtually no pain—just a little expected discomfort.
If I ever need oral surgery again, Siouxland Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery will absolutely be my first choice. Thank you, Dr. Miller and your entire team, for making what I thought would be a terrifying experience so much easier than I ever imagined.

They were really nice and professional. I was terrified of getting my wisdom teeth removed but they were very good my surgery took about an hour and I got all 4 teeth removed.

Dr. Jason Leet was excellent! When my first bone graft didn’t take, he cheerfully started over. He was always professional but friendly. And his staff was excellent—the nurse even brought me a warm blanket while I was waiting!

Couldn’t be more thankful to Dr Leet and his team. His assistant Ciara was thorough and intelligent. The hygienist Laura who got me numb was patient and exceeded expectations. His assistant Sydney made my retainer and it fit perfectly. This place makes you feel like you’re being treated by your own family. Great place, great doctor, great team. Thank you Dr Leet and Siouxland for the great care.

Great care. Very compassionate about your situation. From the moment I walked into the Yankton office they were very understanding. Dr. Leet and his assistants were wonderful with instructions and after care of the surgery area. I would highly recommend going to this office for you care.

The practice uses advanced surgical technology and techniques to support implant planning and placement, including 3D imaging, platelet rich plasma treatment, and laser soft palate procedures. All forms of outpatient anesthesia are administered in office by the oral surgeons themselves, which can simplify sedation logistics for patients who are anxious about surgery or need a more involved procedure such as full arch restoration. Meet the Doctors
The Sioux Falls office is staffed by three oral and maxillofacial surgeons. Dr. Denis Miller, DDS, MBA, has practiced since 1998 and co-owns the practice. He earned his dental degree from the University of Detroit and completed a four-year oral and maxillofacial surgery residency at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia. Dr. Louis George, DMD, joined in 2007 and is also a co-owner. He earned his DMD from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine and also completed his residency at Temple. Both are Diplomates of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and serve on the facial trauma team at Sanford. Dr. Jason Leet, DDS, grew up in Yankton, earned his dental degree from the University of Minnesota in 2013, served four years as an Air Force dentist, and completed a four-year oral and maxillofacial surgery residency at the University of Minnesota.
