About South Austin Oral Surgery

South Austin Oral Surgery is an oral and maxillofacial surgery practice located near the intersection of South First Street and West Ben White Boulevard in South Central Austin, right next to the Austin Regional Clinic. The practice was opened in 2023 by Dr. Nitin Raju to provide affordable, personalized surgical care to patients throughout Austin and the surrounding communities. The office focuses on dental extractions and dentoalveolar surgery, including wisdom tooth removal, oral and IV sedation, and general tooth extractions performed with attention to comfort and straightforward pricing.

The practice uses supportive healing technologies such as platelet rich fibrin (PRF), a treatment made from a patient's own blood that is intended to speed tissue recovery, along with photobiomodulation (PBM) to aid healing after surgery. The office also offers Botox injections as a treatment for bruxism, or teeth grinding. Patients considering tooth extraction or wisdom teeth removal can expect direct communication with Dr. Raju throughout their care, and the office works with patients who have PPO dental insurance by filing claims on their behalf, as well as financing options like CareCredit and Cherry Financing. Prospective patients seeking implant placement or full arch restoration should confirm directly with the office whether that specific service is currently offered, as it is not listed among the practice's published surgical services.
