This was my first visit to South Bay Periodontics. The office is very clean and modern and the staff are wonderful. Dr. Lane explained the tooth extraction process and what options I have for replacement.
The young lady went over the insurance and my costs. I was very impressed with the whole process. Keep up the great work!
UPDATE: I went to in today for the tooth extraction. It went so smoothly, I was very happy 10hourd later I’m experiencing some mild discomfort but the medication is helping.
Now that I’ve had the experience, I can highly recommend South Bay!

The appointment began precisely on time. The staff were friendly, professional and polite. Dr. Coppin took time to listen carefully, his explanations were easy to understand and his recommendations for next steps made sense to me. The facility is beautiful, comfortable and very conveniently located.

Went here for a pretty extensive gum graft that I had been dreading for years. Dr. Coppin was very thorough in describing the procedure and his whole staff were very attentive and detailed about the prep, aftercare, financials and everything I would need to know. Recovery was really great and I'm really happy with the results. Very fortunate to have such a competent and awesome perio to go through this procedure with and very responsive staff for any follow up issues and questions. Would highly recommend. :)

The staff and Dr Coppin very nice. Only issue I did not like was being hooked up to b/p cuff, o2, IV and then left in room alone staring at my teeth. Would have made me less anxious if staff stayed

The crew and Dr. Coppin have always been very easy to work with. They are polite and helpful and answer all kinds of questions. I’ve had two implants in the last 15 years and recently a deep cleaning. The hygienist that I had for the cleaning was wonderful. He did the correct kind of numbing dose, answered all of my questions, and explained everything as he was doing it. He was very concerned about my comfort.

Meet the Doctors

Dr. Coppin earned his dental degree at the University of Pennsylvania, completed a three year periodontics residency at the University of Washington with a master's degree for research in immunology, and now teaches part-time as an affiliate clinical instructor at the University of Washington School of Dentistry. Dr. Lane attended Nova Southeastern University for dental school, then completed a one year Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency and a three year periodontics residency with the United States Army, earning a master's degree in oral biology from Augusta University during residency. Both doctors are members of the American Academy of Periodontology, the Academy of Osseointegration, the American Dental Association, the Washington State Dental Association, and the Thurston-Mason County Dental Society.
