My husband a tooth that broke at work and he was in major pain: not sleeping and survivingon way too many Goodys and Advil. We got into our dentist fast but there was a 3 week wait for the oral surgeon they first referred us to. Our dentist then referred him to Dr Lawhorn. They got him in the day after I called and had him in for twilight sleep surgery the next morning. The entire office's staff are so kind, helpful, and patient. My husband has some dentist phobia and Dr Lawhorn handled him perfectly at the 1st appt. He said he instantly relaxed!! Our experience here was amazing and we highly recommend. Even better, it is a very pleasant and peaceful drive to Statesboro and I will gladly do that over the drive to Savannah and day.

I have been using Statesboro Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery for years. Dr. Lawhorn is professional, courteous, and does exceptional work. The office staff goes above and beyond to provide quality service. I have never had to wait long to be seen, and everyone seems to truly enjoy working there. I have had two implants, and each time I felt that the procedure went smooth and everything was done to help ensure that the implant would be successful. I highly recommend them!

I had a wonderful experience. I was uneasy at first but they immediately calmed me. The whole process was painless (I know unbelievable but true). Dr. Lawhorn and his staff are amazing!

They were very thorough with the consultation. They told me what to expect and how much everything would cost. The procedure was completed with no issues whatsoever, and the aftercare was fantastic! I would highly recommend them!

The folks in this office are very good. From office assistants to the doctor, they are first rate. Having dental work is never pleseant, but they almost pull it off. I recommend them highly.

Meet the Doctors
Dr. Troy M. Lawhorn, DMD, is a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon and the practice's surgeon. A native of Eastman, Georgia, he earned his dental degree from the Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry in 2003 and completed his residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in 2007, where he served as Chief Resident. Dr. Lawhorn is trained in the full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery, with a special interest in dental implant surgery, bone grafting, and soft tissue grafting, and he is a member of the medical staff at East Georgia Regional Medical Center.
