Dr. Kivus and her entire staff are absolutely amazing. From the moment you walk in, you’re treated with kindness, professionalism, and genuine care. Dr. Kivus is thorough, attentive, and takes the time to explain everything. Her staff are friendly, efficient, and always go above and beyond to make the experience smooth and stress-free. Highly recommend!

My experience with Steele City Implants has always Exceptional! Dr. Kivus is the only dentist that I trust in her field of expertise. She shows kindness, compassion and is so so knowledgeable about one’s periodontal needs. When I left my appointment this morning Dr. Kivus we had a plan of action that made me feel my dental issues were going to be solved finally. Her staff are friendly and helpful with navigating insurance coverage… Which was taken care while I was there!!! Who provides that type of service these day… Steele City Implants!

I always have a great experience at this office! Dr. Liz is Expectational!! She never fails to make me feel like I am her only patient. She knows my particular issues and is extremely knowledgeable. Dr. Liz is on the cutting edge of the best medicine’s and best procedure’s for her patients !!

I had an evaluation done with Dr Sims a few months ago then received a letter in the mail that he was retiring. I chose to go to Steel City for another evaluation for a gum graft and I’m so pleased with my decision. Dr. Elizabeth Kivus and her team did a gum graft on a few of my top teeth in the front and made it look perfect and symmetrical with the other side. I highly recommend Steel City! All of the ladies who work there are so nice and welcoming.

She earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, completed Advanced Education in General Dentistry through Lutheran Medical Center, and completed her residency in periodontics at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, along with a dual certificate in periodontics from the Veterans Administration Hospital. She is board certified. Before specializing, Dr. Kivus served for two years as a general dentist with the Indian Health Service caring for Navajo patients, an experience that inspired her to specialize in periodontics. She maintains memberships in organizations including the American Dental Association, the American Academy of Periodontology, the Academy of Osseointegration, the Alabama Dental Association, and the Birmingham District Dental Society.
