Dr. Taylor is an excellent oral and maxillofacial surgeon. After my car accident, he performed my tooth extraction and recently completed my implant, and the entire experience has been very positive. From the beginning, the front desk staff was incredibly kind and welcoming, which made a big difference when dealing with something stressful.
Communication was great throughout the whole process. Whenever I had questions about the next steps or upcoming appointments, they were always helpful and clear. The appointments themselves were efficient and well organized.
I wouldn’t say it was completely painless—the numbing shots (especially in the roof of your mouth) are definitely not pleasant—but Dr. Taylor made sure I was comfortable during the procedures. His professionalism and care really stood out.
Overall, I’m very happy with the care I received and would highly recommend Dr. Taylor and his team to anyone needing oral surgery or dental implants.
Also wish I could remember the names of everyone but im terrible with names.

Second surgery here and it was great. Great staff. Great surgeon (Taylor). Caring, quick, patient, understanding, and great work. I left feeling better and healing has been quick. Nearly painless procedure. Explained everything and helped me feel better about all my concerns. I will not go anywhere else, ever.

Dr Ratliff did my surgery, tooth extraction and cadaver bone inserted - it was fast and painless! In and out in 30 minutes! Clear instructions and care supplies were given. All the staff were friendly and helpful. This morning I feel very little pain after less than 24 hours! Excellent care and highly recommend. *****

Dr Taylor and his staff (very friendly and sweet ladies, sorry I can’t remember all their names) are so nice and accommodating I’ve gone for multiple visits (so did my grandmother) for different reasons and every time I have enjoyed it and been relaxed I don’t have any anxiety after the first time because of their helpfulness and fully informative explanations along with the overall experience of their positive attitudes which is rare nowadays. I’ve also heard positive feedback about dr Ratliff also I’ve just not had personal interaction with him. Thanks again for everything keep up the fantastic work everyone.

I was so impressed with how well Dr. Ratliff and his assistant helped me through my anxiety while in the dental chair. Because of their gentle care, I was able to complete my appointment with comfort. His past treatments have been successful with absolutely no pain or infection!

Taylor & Ratliff Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery is an oral surgery practice with offices in Gainesville and Lake City, Florida. The Gainesville office is located at 2121 NW 40th Terrace, Suite C. The practice performs a full range of dental implant and bone grafting procedures, including full mouth dental implants, implant supported overdentures, Teeth-in-an-Hour, ridge augmentation, sinus lifts, and socket preservation. Other services include wisdom tooth removal, tooth extractions, corrective jaw surgery, treatment of facial injuries and facial pain, jaw joint disorders, oral pathology, sleep apnea, impacted canines, and pre-prosthetic surgery. The office also offers 3D imaging and anesthesia, and its staff is trained in assisting with intravenous sedation.

Meet the Doctors
The practice's clinical team includes three oral and maxillofacial surgeons who serve both the Gainesville and Lake City offices: Dr. Glenn N. Taylor, Jr., DMD, MD; Dr. Will Ratliff, DMD, MD; and Dr. Spencer L. Blumberg, DMD, MD. Dr. Taylor earned his dental and medical degrees at the University of Florida, completed his oral and maxillofacial surgery residency there, has been in private practice in Gainesville since 1998, and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Dr. Ratliff completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Florida, dental school in Kentucky, and medical school and oral and maxillofacial surgery residency at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Shreveport; he has practiced in North Central Florida since 2017 and the practice became Taylor and Ratliff in 2019. Dr. Blumberg earned his bachelor's, dental, and medical degrees at the University of Florida and completed his general surgery internship and oral and maxillofacial surgery residency there as well. All three are described on the practice website as board certified oral and maxillofacial surgeons.
