I stopped in on February 12, 2026 to have my tongue evaluated due to a possible lesion. I had already had dental images taken a few days prior, so I was hesitant to undergo additional imaging unless it was clearly necessary.
I came in specifically for a soft-tissue concern involving my tongue, not for a structural or dental issue. During registration, I was told I would be required to take a panoramic X-ray before I could be seen. I respectfully explained that I did not feel an additional X-ray was necessary for the reason I was there and asked if I could simply speak with the doctor first.
Instead, I was told that I would not be allowed to see the physician unless I agreed to the X-ray. That response felt very rigid and dismissive. It seemed like a blanket policy was being enforced without consideration for the actual medical concern. A quick conversation with the doctor could have clarified whether imaging was even relevant to my visit.
I understand that offices have policies, but patients also have the right to make informed decisions about their care and to decline imaging when they feel it is unnecessary. I was not comfortable agreeing to additional radiation exposure for something that did not appear related to bone or dental structure.
Because there was no flexibility or willingness to consider the situation, I chose to leave without being treated. The experience felt impersonal and policy-driven rather than patient-centered. Based on this experience, I will not be returning.

We had a wonderful experience at Temecula Oral Surgery for my kids’ wisdom teeth extractions. From the doctor to the assistants, everyone was professional, kind, and reassuring throughout the entire process. The facility was very clean and organized, which immediately made us feel comfortable.
Having two teens go through oral surgery at the same time could have been stressful, but the staff made everything smooth and well-coordinated. They took the time to answer questions, explain aftercare clearly, and treated my kids with patience and care. We truly appreciated the positive experience and would definitely recommend them to anyone needing oral surgery care.

I had an excellent experience at Temecula Oral Surgery with Dr. Phan. I was able to get a same-day appointment, which was a huge relief given my situation. The office was very clean, and the staff were polite, welcoming, and professional from start to finish.
Dr. Phan took the time to carefully review my X-rays and clearly explain what was going on with my tooth, as well as the recommended next steps. I really appreciated how straightforward and informative he was—it made me feel confident and at ease going into the procedure.
The extraction was handled quickly and efficiently, and the entire process was much smoother than I expected. I’m incredibly grateful to have found a skilled and responsive oral surgeon who could take care of everything in one visit.
I highly recommend Temecula Oral Surgery and Dr. Phan for anyone in need of prompt, professional, and high-quality dental care.

I’m not even sure where to begin with this review, because our experience with Dr. Phan was exceptional from start to finish. I brought my 18‑year‑old son in for impacted wisdom teeth removal, and Dr. Phan exceeded every expectation. His professionalism, expertise, and genuine care are truly unmatched.
He and his knowledgeable staff walked us through every step of the process, clearly explaining what to expect before and after the procedure. Dr. Phan’s calm, reassuring demeanor paired with his sharp wit helped ease my son’s anxiety and made the entire experience far more comfortable than we anticipated.
We are incredibly grateful that our primary care physician referred us to Dr. Phan. His level of skill and compassion is rare, and it’s clear he takes great pride in providing exceptional patient care.
