Was referred to Dr. Att by my regular dentist in Cambridge. Except for getting braces as a kid, I’ve never really had to see a dental specialist before. I needed a single implant for a premolar, and my dentist told me flat-out that Dr. Att is the best in Boston.
The clinic itself was incredibly clean and modern, but what really blew me away was Dr. Att’s workflow. During my first visit, he took a ton of scans and detailed photos. To be honest, I was a little intimidated at first by the hours of imaging, but it all made sense when he explained his process.
He didn’t just plan an implant. He visualized the absolute best outcome first and planned everything backwards. Using all that scan data and AI-based modeling, he designeed the perfect smile first, then created a highly precise surgical guide to match it perfectly. When he gave me a sneak peek of the expected results and walked me through the procedure, I was completely convinced.
Also, unlike some of the stories I’ve heard from colleagues who got implants elsewhere, the whole process took far fewer visits. Everything here is high-tech, and he actually printed his materials from his own in-house lab in the back with 3D printers which saved me a couple of extra trips.
Overall, a really satisfying experience. If you want the best possible results, I highly recommend Dr. Att.

It’s not easy these days to find a doctor you trust completely. I consider myself very lucky to have found Dr. Att.
He is an absolute professional - highly driven, incredibly dedicated to his work, and truly passionate about what he does. His knowledge seems endless, his hands are exceptionally skilled, and he has a rare ability to explain even the most complicated things in a way that is easy to understand and never causes unnecessary anxiety or panic.
What I appreciate just as much is the warm and friendly atmosphere he creates. He treats his patients with genuine care and respect, and, equally importantly, he treats his staff with the same respect. His team is always welcoming, kind, and makes every visit a pleasant experience.
And of course, the office itself deserves special mention. It’s a place you actually enjoy walking into - beautifully designed, stylish, exceptionally clean, and clearly created with great attention to detail and taste.
Thank you for your hard work, your dedication, and the obvious love you have for your profession. It truly shows in everything you do.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I had a wonderful experience at The Face Dental Group. Dr. Att was professional and attentive, and the staff made me feel very welcome. My cleaning was thorough but gentle, and I left feeling great about my smile. Hajar, the dental assistant, was especially kind and made sure I was comfortable the entire time. I really appreciated the level of care and friendliness from everyone. Highly recommend this office! Everything is clean. Professional staff!

Dr. Devitre was incredibly helpful and catered to all of my needs and concerns. This place is very professional and everyone here is very kind. My wisdom tooth extraction was super smooth and done with impeccable technique. Cannot recommend this place enough!

The Face Dental Group is located at 392 Commonwealth Avenue in Boston's Back Bay, just across the turnpike from Fenway Park and reachable from Massachusetts Avenue and Storrow Drive. The practice focuses on dental implants and full mouth reconstruction, with services that include single and multiple tooth implants, full-arch implants, All-on-4 dental implants, implant dentures, ceramic (metal-free) implants, and treatment for failed implants. Cosmetic options such as veneers, smile makeovers, esthetic rehabilitation, dental bonding, teeth whitening, and metal-free restorations are also offered. The practice states that all of its dental implants are computer-guided and that each case is analyzed and planned before any implant procedure.
The team describes its philosophy as Face Dentistry, meaning the smile is analyzed in the context of the patient's facial anatomy and bite before treatment begins. Meet the Doctors
The practice is led by three dentists. Prof. Dr. Wael Att, DDS, Dr. med. dent., PhD, is a board-certified prosthodontist (German Society of Prosthodontics and Biomaterials) with more than 25 years of experience, a former chairman of the Department of Prosthodontics at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine and a professor of prosthodontics at the University of Freiburg in Germany. He co-developed the STAR Concept for full-arch implant reconstruction and has published more than 170 articles. Dr. James Katib earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Boston University School of Dental Medicine in 2001, is a fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantology, and is a member of the American Association of General Dentistry, with more than 20 years in practice. Dr. Rustam K. DeVitre is a prosthodontist with a career spanning more than 50 years that includes teaching at Tufts University, publication in the Journal of Prosthodontic Dentistry, and development of a patent-pending drill concept for dental implant placement.
