I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Alexander Katsnelson and his entire team. From the moment I walked in, I was treated with genuine care, respect, and compassion. The staff made me feel comfortable and at ease right away they took the time to explain everything, answer my questions, and make sure I wasn’t anxious.
Dr. Katsnelson truly has hands of an angel. I did not feel a thing! His technique, precision, and calm demeanor made the entire experience smooth and stress free. You can tell he genuinely cares about his patients and takes pride in his work.
If you’re looking for a doctor who combines incredible skill with real compassion, I highly recommend Dr. Katsnelson and his amazing team. I’m beyond grateful for the care I received.

Dr. Katsnelson is amazing!! I had tori (bony growths) on both sides of my mouth that were effecting my ability to eat. Not only was the surgery quick and mostly painless but the results are amazing!!! The staff there are all so kind and welcoming as well!! If you have an oral surgery need, he's the man to fix it!

Not only is everyone incredibly kind, with bright smiles from the moment you walk in to the moment you walk out, but also super funny! I was so nervous going into my wisdom tooth extraction surgery but it was laughs and smiles the entire time. Dr. Katsneslon did an incredible job and my healing is going better than i ever planned. Every concern was listened to and addressed, and the staff called occasionally to check in on me. My favourite part had to be the warm, tide-soft blanket I was offered lol! 10/10 Highly recommend this office for any of your oral surgery needs. The whole team deserves a shout out!

I had my impacted canine surgery done here by Dr. Katsnelson, and it was a great experience. I had a lot of anxiety going into it since this was my first ever surgery, but the staff were incredibly kind, comforting, and reassuring, which made the experience so much better. I haven’t felt any pain at all from the surgery site, and everything went very smoothly. Dr. Katsnelson and the entire team were excellent. Thank you for making this experience as comfortable and stress-free as possible!

I went to Dr. Katsnelson to get all of my wisdom teeth removed. He was sensational. He did a great job in making sure everything was good and the setup was ready before he did anything in the procedure room. No issues at all with the surgery and post operation he did everything to make sure I was ok and nothing was bothering me. Following the operation his team was incredibly punctual on following up and making sure I was not in heavy discomfort. The Doctor himself was always happy to find time to talk in case there were issues that arose during the recovery. Great doctor, and great team! Highly recommend.

Meet the Doctors
Dr. Alexander Katsnelson, DMD, MS, is a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon and the surgeon at The Institute of Oral Maxillofacial and Implant Surgery. He graduated from Hebrew University School of Dental Medicine in Jerusalem, where he received the Best Student of the Year Award for four years, and concurrently earned a Master's degree in Neurophysiology from Hebrew University School of Medicine. He completed an internship and the first part of his residency at the University of Illinois Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Department, then completed his residency at Massachusetts General Hospital (Harvard Medical School), where he served as Chief Resident and performed temporomandibular joint, orthognathic, and reconstructive surgeries. Dr. Katsnelson treats facial trauma patients at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, teaches dental residents in the General Practitioner Residency program there, and is a Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and the Illinois Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.
