I couldn’t have had a more positive experience every step of the way, and in every facet of the process. Pam at the front was welcoming and kind, and went out of her way to be helpful and accommodating. Regrettably, I can’t remember the names of the two ladies who handled billing and scheduling, but they were also wonderful.
Dr Clay Thames was the most genuinely warm and engaging (and funny!) medical professional I’ve encountered. He had a fantastic bedside manner and was thoroughly informative and clear in conveying all pertinent information and in addressing all questions and concerns.
Most importantly, the work done on my extractions was done with great care and efficiency. I could not recommend more highly!

The sweetest staff and by far the best doctor. I used Dr. Clay Thames. He himself called to check on me after my surgery. I couldn’t have ask for nicer people! Highly recommend to anybody needing oral care.

Over priced and pushy. I was told I needed 500 to 700 for tooth extraction because my insurance wouldn't pay for Anastasia to pull one tooth. 2x as much as my wisdom tooth removal. Got in touch with Serene Oral surgery and EVERYTHING was covered. $127 dollars out of pocket and excellent service at Serene Oral surgery.

Today 11/15/2024 I had my first experience of tooth retraction, I was very afraid but the assistance of the staff made me feel calm, it was an excellent service, I loved the entire team and especially the doctor who spoke a little about Spanish with me, thank you very much, I am eternally grateful. They did a wonderful job! The entire staff was super friendly and while I am a nervous patient they were very understanding and helpful. Very fair pricing for services as well! I will definitely recommend this place to all my friends and family.

Meet the Doctors
The practice's clinical team includes Dr. Clay B. Thames, DDS, and Dr. Darren K. Alexander. Dr. Clay Thames opened the Hattiesburg office in 1995, joining the practice founded by his brother, Dr. Scott Thames, in Laurel in 1984. Dr. Darren Alexander joined the practice in 2018 following Dr. Scott Thames' retirement, and both doctors now see patients at the Hattiesburg and Laurel locations.
