About The Perio Group

The Perio Group is a periodontal practice located at 220 S 16th Street, Suite 300, in Philadelphia's Rittenhouse Square area, offering treatment for gum disease alongside a full range of dental implant services. The practice is led by Dr. I. Stephen Brown, a periodontist who has offered patients minimally invasive, laser based approaches to gum and implant care. He was among the first periodontists in Philadelphia to offer the Pinhole Surgical Technique, a method for treating receding gums that does not require cutting or stitching. Meet the Doctors

Dr. I. Stephen Brown, DDS, FACD, FICD, is a board certified periodontist (Diplomate, American Board of Periodontology) who leads The Perio Group. He is a graduate of Temple University School of Dentistry and went on to earn specialty certificates in periodontics and adult orthodontics from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. He has also held faculty positions at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine and Temple University's Kornberg School of Dentistry, and he served as a Lieutenant in the U.S. Naval Dental Corps.
