My visit to Dr. Brown to install two side-by-side implants was long anticipated, however delayed by some health issues. Prior to arrival my anxiety and stress level was over the top as I was concerned about all sorts of things.
Upon arrival I was met by Olsen and Franklin, two of Dr. Brown’s assistants who quickly put me at ease. They prepped me and disclosed they were actually dentists from abroad studying with Dr. Brown. I smiled with the realization I was actually getting three dentists for the price of one!
The procedure lasted less than two hours, however, my gnawing anxieties were set aside in the first minutes. Dr. Brown’s initial injection was painless, and subsequent injections were totally pain-free. In fact, the whole procedure proceeded at a steady, careful pace and pain free, what a pleasant surprise. The implants were beautifully spaced.
My office experience was entirely positive and the office followup was sincere. I strongly commend Dr. Brown for his concern for patient comfort and positive bedside manner. This was fun, maybe we should do it again sometime!

Dr. Brown has changed my life! He made the impossible, possible!!!
Few years ago, I got a procedure done, and the dentist did a horrible job. Nothing changed and I lost my whole confidence when smiling.
I went to The Period Group, all the stuff is AMAZING. I met Dr.Brown I told him my story, he listened and said that he would do his best to help me to fix the problem. He studied my case; and after few days I got the call. I went to have my 1st surgery and it went great. I had no pain and I had a fast recovery.
Dr.Brown did a wonderful job, the problem was fixed and he went above and beyond to get the best results I could ever imagine!
I can’t stop smiling! I want the whole world to know that he is THE BEST PERIODONTIST ever!

I was a 20 year periodontal patient with another dentist who retired and didn’t perform laser gym surgery so I had multiple flap surgeries, bone reconstruction, skin grafting, and continuous treatment of repeated abscesses. After receiving laser surgery with Dr. Brown, which was a wonderful experience, my gum tissue improved dramatically within 1 year with such decreased sensitivity that I was able to eat all foods successfully and also able to receive implant surgery. I now have my smile back. Let me say, that Dr. Brown may seem abrupt with his explanations, but it’s because of his passion for dentistry. Very knowledgeable and also patient with me, answering all my questions until I was comfortable! It’s a long process but it was worth it! Thanks Dr. Brown

I had the Pinhole procedure done about a month ago or so. I'm really happy with the results so far. I feel more confident about my smile and my upper teeth do not look exposed or receded anymore. The procedure itself was about 1.5hr long. I was able to get into my routine cleaning and brushing about 1.5 week later. I'd definitely recommend Dr. Brown

Dr. Brown is an outstanding periodontist. He is only highly skilled clinician but he also is an outstanding educator. He is very gentle when he is working on his patients. He has a great sense of humor too. I would highly recommend Dr. Brown to anyone looking for a caring, devoted, and proficient periodontist.

Meet the Doctors
Dr. I. Stephen Brown, DDS, FACD, FICD, is a board certified periodontist (Diplomate, American Board of Periodontology) who leads The Perio Group. He is a graduate of Temple University School of Dentistry and went on to earn specialty certificates in periodontics and adult orthodontics from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. He has also held faculty positions at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine and Temple University's Kornberg School of Dentistry, and he served as a Lieutenant in the U.S. Naval Dental Corps.
