Dr. Lytle and team are the best in the area. After looking into several oral surgeons, he was highly recommended by multiple dentists and now I know why. I’ve had a great experience with three procedures. Open to working with ceramic implants and PRP- which has sped my recovery time. Very friendly, knowledgeable and organized staff with top-notch skill and experience in the OR. Highly recommend!

The facility was very nice. The snacks, drinks, and shirts were all free and made waiting a much better experience (I got there early, not on them). The receptionist was very nice and the doctor seemed very knowledgeable and helped calm some nerves for what will be my first surgery. I did get taken back 10-15 minutes after my scheduled appointment time, but I think everyone was coming back from lunch so no complaint really.

Amazing first experience! I have been to a couple of other oral surgeons in the area but didn’t feel very comfortable. Everyone I have met so far has been extremely friendly, professional and helpful. Very thankful to have found Third Coast! I appreciate that my appointment didn’t feel rushed and that Dr Lytle was very thorough in his explanation of the procedure… he really helped ease my mind and made me feel more confident proceeding with scheduling. Third Coast Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery is an oral surgery practice on North Evergreen Drive in north Grand Rapids, Michigan, serving patients throughout the greater Grand Rapids area and West Michigan communities such as Rockford, Ada, Kentwood, Wyoming, and Byron Center, where the practice has a second office. For patients considering dental implants, the practice places single dental implants and also offers full arch replacement, which restores an entire row of teeth on implants. Supporting services include bone grafting to rebuild the jaw where bone has been lost, tooth extractions, platelet rich fibrin therapy that uses a patient's own blood components to aid healing, wisdom teeth removal, corrective jaw surgery, oral pathology, and treatment of facial injuries.
The practice states it is the only oral surgery practice in Michigan accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care, a national organization that reviews patient safety, care quality, and facility standards, and that patient care around surgery and anesthesia is provided by registered nurses. Treatment planning uses three dimensional imaging, computerized surgical planning, and in office three dimensional printing. The Grand Rapids office is open Monday through Thursday from 8 in the morning to 4:45 in the afternoon and Friday from 8 in the morning to 12:30 in the afternoon, and the team welcomes both dentist referrals and patients seeking a consultation or second opinion.
